OMG, pay the $10.

That's per month. And I already bought the version 6 several yrs ago for like $150. I wouldn't use it enough to justify. Fixed income.

Which version? We have a link saved for v6 off the Adobe site from others in a similar situation. For older versions, you might be able to get Adobe via a support chat to give you a link to the older software. This time, be sure to save the install file in a secure backup / recoverable location.

I have V 6. I also have it on my laptop. My grandson said to use laptop to send in an email the install file to pc? Thanks for the info. Will try when my granddaughter goes home. 7, takes a lot of my attention! But I love it!

I have a new hard drive and want to re download my Lightroom Classic I purchased several years ago. I'm not finding a way to do that! It's all about the cloud version now. What am I missing? On my Adobe account it says I purchased it, when, and the product key but can't figure out how to download it again. Can you help? I know there has been much discussion in here about both products but can't remember if Adobe still supports the classic version. Thanks!

That's a tough call. It seems cold and heartless to be taking pictures of someone injured or in distress. However, after the picture is taken and processed, there is a record of what happened so others can see it. Imagine if war was considered too horrible to photograph. We would see none of the heroism and suffering, and we would have to rely on movies to get an idea of what war is like. It's the same with floods, tornadoes, fires, and any other natural disaster. Taking pictures lets the rest of the world see what is going on.

I agree with this statement. When I read the heading of the OP's and his story, I thought it was just wrong for him to take pics. Then I read the article and thought differently. He is a professional photojournalist bringing to the public just how ugly and pervasive drug overdoses are. Not to mention the heroic efforts to try and save the person. This should be seen on every tv and newspaper so people can do a reality check! He must have known his rights as he fought and won the judgement. It is his business to know his rights.

The Melrose, MA Hunt's Camera Store is my favorite store in the world. It was my Dad's too, a professional photographer from way back. If I suddenly came into a lot of money I'd run there and be like a kid in a candy shop!

Used to be a "vintage-antique" camera store an hour south of me that had a lot of view cameras and photographic oddities. His definitions were: Antique=100 years or older. Vintage=pre-WW2. Collector=certain makes and models that were used, and still saleable. Classic=a descriptive term used to make a camera more saleable. It was always worth a side trip when in the area just to visit the shop.

I have read that the old German cameras, especially WW11, are now worth much more than what Americans were using at the time

I'm surprised no one really addressed "becoming" angles of shoot, the subjects body posture, tilt of the head, etc. I'm no expert so I have no advice just questions!

I use fill flash on high speed sync from a lawn chair about 8' from the feeder. If you sit quietly they get used to you, ignore you-don't move fast or jerky-lift the camera smoothly unless you have it on a tripod, pre-aimed and even pre focused on the feeder. When they are disputing ownership of the feeder and doing "chase the birdie" they have used my head for a racing pylon so close they circled me under the brim of my hat and I felt air or a wing tip on my ear. A few times I have forgotten the camera and just watched.

As to lens, I usually use my Canon 100-400 but have also used a Tamron 180 macro with or without a Kenko Pro 300 1.4x on a crop sensor Canon for 403 mm angle of view. For your Nikon a similar rig would be 378 mm angle of view. Being a macro the details are outstanding.

I have the same problem. Except that my images are scattered over 7 external drives. I finally started naming the drives and writing on the outside what's on them. That helps. However, I have images from the arboretum, for example, that are sorted by date (who remembers!) on several different drives. They need to all be on one. And I think they should be taken out of date folders and put in named folders, such as "flowers," "scenics," "cactus," etc. I normally recall WHERE I shot something, but not when. What I have started doing is trying to make sure that each image has a title (I can do this in Windows or in LR) while keeping the file name that came from the camera. Keywords help also. It's slow, but Windows can search for file name, title or keywords.

My images are also scattered over many drives and I don't know why. But when I have renamed a group of pictures on windows ( out of LR) then they become "lost" and unconnected to the LR library. This has been discussed many times in here but I still have not found the edited versions of the pics I renamed. This has been knawing at my love of photography over the last few years to the point right now I barely take images anymore. Shame. At this stage I have found it very hard to learn knew things. Life was simple when I just used Picasa...but not nearly as gorgeous as with LR edits!

FYI..... Bear 399 was killed by vehicle in the park

I just read that it was her only cub, "Snowy," who was killed in May. 399 tried to save it. No word on any injuries she may have sustained.

I started when my dog was very young, photographing her with different outfits. She got so used to the camera that she would want to be in all the family photos. She would definitely pose for me.
I will post a few of my favorites.
When my daughter was a bride. Millie was a bride. The second image is Millie and her best friend Abby.
I did images of her for almost every holiday.

With other dogs, I find if I make a strange noise, they look directly at me and I get the shot.

NICE SHOTS!!!
