60 Minutes June 30 Piece on Thomas Mangelsen

60 Minutes had a piece on Tom Mangelsen yesterday. Outstanding stuff, especially the catch of the century, the salmon about to enter eternity via the open mouth of the bear. I had seen that photo somewhere in the past, but don’t remember where/when. Overall, very enjoyable segment.

Agree Dean. I saw the piece also. That image is superb without PS.

According to Menglesen, it was shot in 1988 (?), predating digital.

I enjoyed that segment of the show. Looking at his images and what he did to get them, makes me wonder if my camera should follow my golf clubs into the lake.

Excellent. The part about hunter trying to kill 399 really got me. I live in bear country and we cherish them. Many don’t.
