Have been there twice and it's a wonderful trip -- would love to go again sometime now that I've got a better camera than I had on those trips. However, Alaska waits for me this summer! Don't miss both Athabasca and Sunwapta Falls. Great viewing!

Williamsburg is a great place to go in the winter too. All or most of the doors have fruit wreaths on them and the whole town is so festive!

Your pictures bring back great memories. Back in the early 90's about 15-20 of us who knew each other from childhood and relatives would gather at the Stagecoach Inn in West Yellowstone and go snowmobiling in the park usually over Presidents' Day weekend. One day up to Mammoth, another to Old Faithful, and the 3rd to the falls area. So many pretty sights and the wildlife! Wow! Leave all your worries behind when you step on the plane bound for Bozeman and then a car ride down to W. Yellowstone. I think now you have to have a guide with you.

We went with Princess a couple of summers ago and are going back again this coming up summer with some relatives. Fly into Anchorage, up to Denali and stay at the Princess lodges. We take the train back south to Whittier where we board the ship. From there got to Skagway, Juneau, Ketchican, Glacier Bay, and the Inside Passage to Vancouver, BC. They won't let you on the ship without a passport since you'll dock at Vancouver. In Juneau be sure to see the Mendenhall Glacier. Had 3 crystal clear days up at Denali! Spectacular! I had just gotten a new camera for this trip -- Nikon 5300 -- and loved it compared to what I did have. I didn't have time before the trip to get lenses so just went with the 18-55 and 55-300 lenses that came with it. Saw lots of eagles, bears, moose & other assorted wildlife. Have fun -- I can't wait to go back!

How much fun! Back in the 90's we used to go to Yellowstone about every 2-3 winters snowmobiling. They came with handwarmers on the handlebars. We always saw about as many animals in the winter as we did in the summer. Lots of buffalo & elk around the Old Faithful area. So much ice around the geyser areas from the mist freezing on trees. One time we had a complete whiteout going through Hayden Valley -- couldn't even see the snowmobile in front of you! We always stayed at the Stagecoach Inn in West Yellowstone & took 1 day for the Old Faithful area, 1 day for Norris and Mammoth Hot Springs area, and the 3rd day for the Upper & Lower Falls in the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone area. Back then I also only had an old Cannon PowerShot camera & pictures were OK but not great compared to the Nikon 5300 I have now. I need to go back. Have fun!

Great pictures! Williamsburg is one of my favorite places to visit -- been there 4 times. I especially liked going there over Christmas break one year & seeing all the wreaths on the doors.

We went to Alaska in June 2016. Great weather! Be sure to take the Tundra Wilderness Tour up to Denali. We saw lots of animals (eagles, bear, etc.) and had 3 straight days of no clouds. Since it was such great weather the bus driver took us to the other side of Denali and it's even more spectacular than what you usually see! I realize we were very fortunate to have weather like that.

After listening to the news the past few days, it sounds like Costa Rica just got obliterated! Maybe they'll have the electricity back on by January.

So sad. I've stayed at the Prince of Wales Hotel a couple of times on trips to Waterton National Park & on to Banff. Such a beautiful place so hope they're able to save it. I myself never stayed at Sperry Chalet in Glacier Nat. Park but my brother has & that burned to the ground last week in the Montana fires.

Great picture. We were there in the 2016 June and had 3 days of clear skies at Denali! That's right, 3 days. We took the longer Wilderness tour and went to the other side of the mountain at Stoney Point.

I retired from teaching elementary school in 2007. Back then I didn't have time for photography except when we went somewhere in the summer. Now I keep a camera in the car all the time because you never know when an opportunity will arise. I spend so much more time now on it. I often go out in my back yard (6 acres) and find lots of things to shoot -- deer, fox, birds, etc. I'm working on Lightroom and have time to watch YouTube videos on it and how to take better pictures. Every morning at breakfast, instead of rushing around to get to school, I read UHH!

My Rose of Sharon's have also been covered with bees this year -- both honey bees and bumble bees!

I have a 5300 and just love it. It's my first DSLR camera. I used to have a Kodak that didn't have detachable lenses & it was OK but the pictures on the 5300 are so much better. I have 3 lenses with it -- an 18-55mm, a 55-300mm, and then a Sigma 10-20 wide angle.

I agree with going up the road to Niagara-on-the-Lake. This is by far the most beautiful little town I've ever been to for their flowers.
Flowers are pouring out of containers or in the ground everywhere and the color is just outstanding.

I had been going to Columbus Blue Jackets games for a number of years & taking my Nikon 5300 with an 18-55 lens. All at once they came up with "no cameras with detachable lens". Now my old Kodak is OK but doesn't take near as good of shot.
