Mt. Denali, Perfect Day.

Perfect view of Mt. Denali. The White Mountain is Denali. You only have a 9% chance of seeing it if you visit. The clouds started to roll in later in the day.

Looks good Sammie15. When I saw it this clear, I was too far away to get the shot I wanted. Just a question; does your PP software allow you to "add" a Graduated Neutral Density effect at this point? The top half seems to need a bit of "calming down."

Thanks, I don't think so. I just went through the Canon DPP and didn't find anything that allowed that. I did go to another photo of Denali and re-adjust. I did notice the top of Denali was on the bright side. Thanks for the tip.

We did, it was a beautiful day and sun was bright. We were very lucky to get the view we did. The other days it was covered in clouds.

Great picture. We were there in the 2016 June and had 3 days of clear skies at Denali! That's right, 3 days. We took the longer Wilderness tour and went to the other side of the mountain at Stoney Point.

The photo is great. I can only imagine how breathtaking it must be in person.

HDR would make the mountain less bright and the rest ok

Thanks! I got 5 or 7 shots of the mountain. I have to try some more editing.

Over exposure has to be corrected before you shoot. It can not be fixed. Great composition

Thanks. On my pp I reduced the brightness which helped but not on this photo. Learning curve. Tips alway welcome.

Before HDR I used to take two pictures with different exposures then I would cut and paste parts of one picture into the other
