I just bought it having run a few days of the trial. The stabilizing system is really great. Topaz is a really good company. I highly recommend Sharpen Ai.

As an aside, I bought Denoise and Adjust back in 2014. They upgraded to the Ai version with no charge a month ago 6 years after I bought the software. I use the three apps as plugins to Capture One. They work seamlessly.

Excellent customer support. World-class Customer Service.

I have an XT-1 and an XT-2. I like the 1 perhaps even more than the 2. Smaller, simpler and it just knows what to do. Here, for instance is a shot on auto everything of the little plaza in my town. Shade and sun, subjects of all reflectance values, and Fuji just sorted it all out to the very best compromise of all possibilities and gave me this beautifully balanced little vignette of Americana with lovely colors, right out of the camera. And it does it every time. No it does not have mega megapixels, and I usually use the kit lens (this was the kit lens for this photo), but it delivers the exposure, the sharpness, the color every time. Yes i could improve this by cropping, it is the entire frame as is!

Hi there,

I have the XT1 and T2. I much prefer the XT1 to the 2. Size, weight and simplicity. The T1 produces excellent RAW files that have a very special "feel" to them. With a small lens it fits in a pocket. It also fits in my hand perfectly. I love it. It reminds me of my FM.
The plus side of the Pandemic is that it has forced me to stop buying things I don't really need - new lenses etc and get the best out of what I've got.

I've shot many sunrise and sunset pictures with a DSLR, but with a DSLR the sensor is covered while you compose and is only exposed to the sun when you take the exposure. One of these days I will probably get a mirrorless and I'm wondering if shooting sunsets, etc., could cause sensor damage since the sensor is continuously exposed? Are there precautions you need to take with a mirrorless when shooting the sun? Anyone have experience with shooting sunsets or sunrises with a mirrorless?

Hi there,
I shoot sunsets almost daily. I live 200m from my beach - Playa Tamarindo, Costa Rica. We get fantastic sunsets. As far as I can tell there is no sensor damage. The sensor is only exposed for a short period of time. I do not use a tripod I shoot as I walk along the beach. Hope this info reassures & helps you. Kind regards.

Please look at Exposure X5 - you can get a 30-day trial. I use it in conjunction with Capture 1 for Fuji. I have been using their software for years and it is really good. Stand alone as well as in conjunction with C1. BTW I find C1 a truly excellent programme. If you adopt it you can grow with it as your skills increase.

Also, I would put a word out for Topaz Labs Adjust Ai and their DeNoise Ai. I bought both these programmes (pre-Ai) in 2014 for $40 each, I think. I found out that they give free lifetime updates. One month ago I contacted them and they updated both Apps for no charge and sorted out my account with them as well so all my apps are in one account. World-class customer service. They are plug-ins only I believe. I use them with C1.

Yes I was going to suggest a D300. Terrific camera. Perfect for the job in hand.

I have A Nikon D7000 DX camera. I am interested in upgrading to a new camera. I shoot mostly landscapes and some macro. I also dabble in wildlife photography and portrait photography. I shoot for pleasure and do not care about making money. What would be some suggestions for my next camera. I want to stay with Nikon. Thanks.

I had a D7000 (and a D300). I never liked the D7000. If I were you I'd wait a little while as Nikon is bringing out revisions to their mirrorless line later this year. I moved from Nikon to Fuji after being a "Nikon Head" for 50 years. I would strongly recommend you look at Nikon Mirrorless offerings. Mirrorless is the way forward IMHO. Others will, no doubt, disagree strongly which is fair enough.

I really enjoy using my Fuji cameras - the XT1, in particular, reminds me of my Nikon FM. That camera and my XH1 are my fave Fujis.

If you decide to go with a DSLR Nikon the D7200 or D500 would be my choice - I imagine you can get refurbs at great prices. As you can tell I'm still a great fan of Nikon cameras!

Here's my list:
Past Cameras:
Paxette
Various Prakticas
Nikkormat
Nikon F1 Photomic
Nikon FM
Nikon FM2

Present Cameras:
Nikkormat
Nikon D300
Fuji XE2
Fuji XT1
Fuji XT2
Fuji XH1

What would I keep it's between the XT1 and the XH1 both with Fuji 18-135 lens. I really can't decide. I know I'm cheating but it would have to be both.

Switch to Apple. You won't regret it. I was an IT manager is a Call Centre company. The ratio of support staff PC to Mac was 3 to 1. Yes 3PC support engineers to every 1 Mac support engineer. That should tell you everything.

OWC have some great deals on Macs.

I run a late 2012 MacMini 2TB SSD 16GB ram.

I have used Apple computers from Mac SE30 onwards. I am not a Wintel person so I'm very biased. All the best.

The Leica myth continues. Would I pay $8K for a Leica monochrome? Not a chance. My XH1 produces great monochrome from my RAW files. Good enough for me. The Leicas of my teenage years were the stuff of dreams. Todays Leicas are the stuff of vanity.

I have bought a number of items from KEH and always have been satisfied. I buy most of my stuff online. I live in Costa Rica. We don't have many Camera shops here. Without the Internet and eBay/Amazon and online retailers, I'd be pretty stuffed.

I use it with no problems at all. MacMini (late 2012). 16gb Ram. 2TD SSD. Catalina. Fuji. Runs on internal SSD. Backed up to Ext HDD.

I hope you sort your problem out. They are generally very helpful.

I have about 14 vintage or old (30 years) lenses I use on my Fujis. Just put a Nikon AF 75-300 on my XH1. Stunning lens. I like all of them. But I don't use them enough!
