You can bet on it, my friend. I'm an artist and I look at every photo with the eyes of an artist, and this one is really good. Kudos!

Beautifully done! That night sky was the perfect addition to this! It really gives the whole photo the perfect drama, something lacking in many photos! Great job! I don't think anything is overdone!

Mark, I could listen to Diana Krall sing the dictionary. I think she has the most incredible style of singing, sexy like the old Julie London songs, can play incredible piano, does her own arranging, and surrounds herself with some of the finest musicians in the world. What's not to like!? I've yet to see her in person but have watched many of her shows on Utube. A gift to the music lovers! JESS

Wow! These are beautiful captures of a pretty cool animal. They definitely keep the rodent population down! I'd say this was worth the wait. I'd join you out there if I could!

Along with being beautiful, and as great model for your camera, they are wonderful rodent getters. When you have them around you don't find many rodents who will stay in the area. If he were at my place, he would have found a home.

I was taught the way to get rid of snails and slugs. I had a friend who had a nursery and was plagued by these voracious guys. You take a Frisbee and set it into the ground so it is level with the dirt. Fill it with beer. By morning the Frisbee will be full of these guys, all dead. It really does work.

I was in three Helicopter Maintenance Schools, in Ft Rucker, in late 65. I had graduated with high marks and we were sitting in a group, awaiting orders at to where we were going. I was singled out and asked if I would like to change my MOS and go to work in S-3, base operations, there in Ft Rucker. After thinking about it I took the job. The next day, all of my classmates went to Vietnam. I know of a few who didn't make it back. Two of my brothers went there, and both came back with a lot of problems, mentally. It was a hard place, being in mortars on the front line. Our government dumped Agent Orange all over them, and one of my brothers died of Agent Orange related cancer and an age much younger than he should have. He also had terrible nightmares his entire life. He was only 17 when he went over, yet half of his hair was white when he returned one year later. You could never get him to talk about Vietnam. It was too painful. These are the things I remember on Memorial Day. God bless the boys who went and never returned. Many more died after returning. There were a lot more casualties than the 58,000 names on the wall.

I raised tropical birds for most of my life. Had about 450 at one time. I raised lots of babies, handfeeding all of them. It seemed that we couldn't go anywhere, for many years, without taking a box of babies with us, as we had to feed every four hours. I loved them all and was very picky as to who they were sold to. They had to sit thru a talk before they went home with them. I just didn't want them to become prisoners. These babies were all so gentle. Every once in a while I would find a cage with a bird in it on my front porch. All birds are messy. They just make a mess with all the seed, feathers and of course, poop. You have to know what you are getting in to. One of the birds I received looked a lot like yours. It was the hardest bite I've ever had in my life. I wanted to cry like a girl after that one. But, he was beautiful. I don't have any birds, at this stage in my life, but I still miss them.

Mark, this is an incredible recording. She really was one of the best. I thought her recordings with Nelson Riddle were her best. I have listened to them soooo many times and loved every one of them. It's sad that she is slowly sinking. She suffers from 'progressive supranuclear palsy', which is a type of Parkinsons. In an interview she once had she said she couldn't even sing Happy Birthday anymore. She said she had nothing. How very sad. At least, with recordings like this, she will never die.

I've been up in Alaska many times as I married an Alaskan girl almost 53 years ago. The local artisans would take these, dry them, then varnish them and make genuine Alaskan "moose nugget" jewelry out of them. The favorite was earrings that would dangle off your ears. They sold like hotcakes to all the tourists.

That is a strange one. I think I'd leave that camera out there more often to see if it happens again. I think it's very cool! JESS

Now, that is a weird one, for sure! I have seen a UFO, and was made a total believer in them. Possible! Any other way lights could be out there? Strange but a cool capture.

I have seen his work on many occasions. I've been a painter all of my life and dearly love to see others art. Surrealistic art is fun to see and even more fun to do. In surrealism, what you can imagine, becomes reality! Very cool stuff! JESS

David, with all of the prices going out the ceiling, how expensive is it to go over there and see this right now? I dearly love stuff like this. I'd love to photograph it without all of the tourists, but........ I toured castles in Germany when I was stationed over there in the 60's. I find them so fascinating!! Can you imagine how cold it would be in there in the winter!! Yes, one can only imagine! Beautiful photos! JESS

When I was finally discharged from the Army, in 1968, I went back to Idaho. I ended up buying a 1957 VW that got 37 miles per gallon with everyday use. They had a gas was going and the price was .17 a gallon. That meant, if my tank was empty, I could fill that tank for $1.70 and would drive it all week while courting my wife. Those were the days!!
