I've generally avoided post-processing a photo beyond adjusting exposure, contrast, highlights, etc. But a confluence of events caused me to update to the latest version of ON1 Photo RAW (v2022.5) and now I've been playing with it briefly. I must say, some of the features are quite impressive, and even better, easy to use!
I thought I'd take a rather plain photo I took recently on my trip to Greece and see what I could do with it in ON1. Granted, the results are a bit "extreme," (for me, at least), but it's quite something how just a few minutes with a photo editor can yield something quite beyond the original. I present both the "before" and "after" images for your consideration.

Well done! Share your work flow?
I think the substitution is quite nicely done. However, I question using a night sky with an obviously daylight lit temple.

The affects are great. But.... Unrealistic to have a milky way in a daytime shot, without a lot of foreground lighting. But I still like.

Point taken. This was simply experimenting with ON1 and its new features, not an attempt to create frameable art.

ON1 is quite different from PS or LR so, how did you learn to do the things in ON1 that you did?
You did good other than forgetting to sharpen the temple.
On1 sky replacement is a great tool and easy to use. I don't really care for the sky you chose for this image, though. You chose a night sky for a brightly lit scene. Further processing would have helped.

I'm learning as I go.
Honest answer: I was just using my prior photo editing knowledge and experience to find the dials, sliders, settings and plug-ins. This all started with the SkySwap feature that intrigued me.
Impressive results, Fred!
Thank you! I marvel on how a very bland, toss-away photo can be turned into something dramatic (even if it borders on being unrealistic).
