While I appreciate the input from anyone, I haven’t seen, and perhaps it was my fault, my real question. I was concerned about leaving the contact points which are normally covered when the lens is properly attached. Reversing the lens leaves this points open to dust, debris, etc. Any comments on that point?
I’ve seen articles about making any lens a macro by reversing the lens by using an adapter. I am a little paranoid about leaving the lens connectors open to air, dust, etc. Anyone have any experience on this?
Their Carepak is just like any insurance, from health to death. You are gambling you will need it and the insurance companies are gambling (and praying) you don’t.
I have used Simple Canvas Prints many times. The quality is great and you can’t beat their guarantee. It doesn’t matter if they made a mistake or you did or if you simply aren’t happy with the way it turned out. I had 7 prints made. Two prints weren’t as I envisioned (my fault, not theirs). I contacted them and immediately was offered a reprint or my money back. There are a lot of companies out there but I would suggest you check their guarantees before selecting one. Here is a link you can use.
http://canvas.my/p/raf-2017a If you purchase through this link, I get a referral credit, which would be great for me. However, you certainly don’t have too. I love this company regardless. In this day and age, great guarantees and customer service are in short supply. Good luck and happy holidays.
Anyone updated their MAC’s to Sur? Anyone experience any issues?
Thanks everyone. To all you Vets and your families: thank you for your service.
Thank you everyone. I only hope my photos were able to capture a little of the special ceremony.
Cmbtvet. Thank you for your service. As the wife of an Air Force military member and having worked as a civilian at various AF bases for over 32 years, I understand the sacrifices you and your family made. Thank you is a small, but sincere acknowledgment of your service.
Thank you everyone. I was his secretary in the early 80’s and, even though Col Brittingham left the area, he, his family and I remained close. I will miss him dearly but this ceremony was, not only something to behold, it was a fitting tribute to send him home.
I had the opportunity to go to a dear friend’s interment at Arlington Cemetery. It was a sight to behold. The Honor Guard took such care and performed their duties with such precision and respect for my friend. I wish all Veterans received such respect while they are still living.
You can find used lens on other sites, but be careful of the warranties. Canon offers refurbished lenses while other sites offer used lenses. Refurbed lens are a little more but the manufacturers warranty is usually 1 year versus 90 days.
