Adorable. I would have taken her in too under protest from my adult felines who would be extremely jealous. I love striped kitties, but they have all passed over the rainbow bridge. Hopefully she will steal your heart and you can't help but keep her.

Somewhere I have a real wooden nickel. Got it from a business that was handing them out for some kind of joke or promotion.

I'm in the minority. I like A over B. To me the road looks misplaced without the car to add purpose to it.

I agree, the car adds a focal point and life to the photo. Otherwise, the road just goes out of the frame.

Apple's "PHOTOS" does everything I need and I see many of the earlier posters in this thread feel the same. I don't do layers etc and just need to change brightness, contrast, sharpness, noise, color saturation etc.

I absolutely agree. Does everything I need.

Was it either of these two:
I looked at the first one before because I thought it was the one, but neither of them is the right one. Even searched Apple and couldn't come up with them.

Your bird is one of nature’s cleanup crew, a turkey vulture. Nice pictures, thanks for sharing.

There are a lot of them in the Black Hills. They look good from this far away, but very ugly up close. Great photo.

I agree that trying to pose a group like that is extremely challenging. For years I shot my husband's class reunions. Every 10 years and then every 5. I referred to them as regressing to toddler mentality when being arranged for the photo. Once, I was shoved (Not nicely either) out of shooting position by one of his classmate's wives taking her own photo. Never did like that woman!! That was the last time I agreed to do the big class photo.

We have been through the park four times this week. No problem with traffic. A few slow downs but nothing bad. We saw at least five burros. There are three in this photo including the small white one shown with my better half. There were two other white ones. None of the burros we saw were shy about looking for handouts.
We did see one ignorant woman standing about five feet from a mature bison taking photos yesterday. I couldn't help myself. As I drove past with my window rolled down I told her what I thought of her foolish action.
We have been through the park four times this week... (show quote)

One time years ago, another photographer friend of mine and I were driving through the park and saw people very close to the bison taking photos. We thought we might get a good action shot (LOL), but decided not to stop and create another traffic hazard. We went on and found great antelope photos. Perhaps the burros are getting more friendly. They may have been more elusive because the baby was born the day before and could have been protective of the newborn. We were there shortly after the 4th of July. Also, one burro died this summer of a rattlesnake bite. They tried the anti venom stuff, but it was too late when they found it.

Unfortunately, some of the burros died as a result of a devastating forest fire that ravaged the park last December. Two burros were donated to the park, not sure if they were originally from the park herd and sold at the buffalo auction that is held every year to thin the herd. The current burros are not the beggars that people are used to. There are probably only 4 now and there was one baby born last summer.Cute little white baby. The park grass came back so green that it looked artificial in photos and the burned trees were logged off, so the park is rebounding back. Last summer the entire buffalo herd was turned out in the north section of the park to allow the grass to grow back in the burned part. (The herd was in the buffalo corrals all winter and had to be fed hay because of burned grass and fences.) There were buffalo all over the road and beside it. We got in a traffic jam for an hour and a half when so many cars stopped to take photos. People were being very reckless getting too close to the buffalo. The buffalo were actually walking between all the cars, motorcycles, campers etc which were parked 4 wide on the hiway. Having grown up in the area, it was highly unusual to see that. I only got a few photos that day because of the traffic jam. Earlier in the summer we got great photos during another trip to the park of the buffalo herd, antelope and prairie dogs plus the logging operations and burned trees. Hope people who plan to come visit the park don't cancel, because there are still great photo opportunities. Just less trees, but more grass for the critters.
