I have found only one book”The Olympus Pen F Menu System Simplified” by David Thorpe. It’s useful, but by no means as comprehensive as the books published for the other Olympus mirrorless cameras.

John Greengo has a tutorial video series on the Pen F which focuses on the menu system, and is also very useful. Go to www.johngreengo.com and you’ll find his tutorials. His Pen F Fast Start class costs $19.00.

Does this work when you don't have cell coverage?

Yes, it does.

Take a look at the Olympus Pen F with the EZ lens. It’s light, almost pocket size, does hoopla it not—your choice

Others have suggested a tripod and remote shutter release. I don’t know what equipment you’re using, but if your camera supports WiFi, as does my Olympus M5II, set up the tripod outside, Wifi to your smart phone and use your smart phone’s screen and controls to operate your camera remotely.

A school’s policy—or any organization’s policy—applies to students and employees, not to you. While the school policy may have informed the principal that photography was not to be allowed, and directs her to take some action to try and stop you from taking them, these policies cannot apply directly to you. The policy itself cannot prohibit you from taking pictures, although the policy can direct her to have you removed from the property, etc. for continuing to do so. Laws, regulation, and ordinances apply to you, not some organization’s policies. Policies dictate employees actions, not yours.

I've searched the Hog and came up empty on this subject.

When traveling between time zones and making photos in each zone, should the time on the camera be left set to the original time zone or changed as you cross time zone boundaries?

What about daylight saving time? Should we leave the camera set to standard time or should it follow DST?

Then there is the Arizona question. Do you follow local time, which is Pacific time during the summer and Mountain time in the winter?

It's all so confusing. I'm leaning toward leaving the camera set to CST all the time.

What do you do and why?

If you’re geotagging your images, your camera date and time needs to be in sync with your geotagging device. With our Olympus cameras, we use an Olumpus app that will add geotag info to each image. The app will also update date and time on the camera.

Like others, I found Anthony Morganti’s videos extremely useful. However, Laura Shoe’s inexpensive course, which covers just about everything that Lightroom has to offer, plus her continual updates, is invaluable. Google “Laura Shoe” and check out her stuff. She’s an excellent teacher!

Are there any cameras that record lat/long in metadata of images. Can get GPS location even on cheap phones. Why not expensive cameras. What! No forgetting where shots were made.

My Olympus MkIi and PEN F do not, at least directly. However the Olympus smart phone app provides a way to sync the phone and camera via WiFi and export the gps data to the camera and it’s images.

An excellent choice!! I have the Mark II and my go-to lens is the 14-150. Light, compact, great camera with superb results.

We have both. Each has its advantages. The PEN F is wonderfully compact, especially with the collapsible lens with electric zoom. It has about as many bells and whistles as my Em5 MkII, which is a little easier to use for me, with my larger fingers (the buttons on both are small). I like the more traditional DSLR look and feel of my EM5; my wife likes the retro look of her PEN F. Both are remarkable cameras, and the images they produce are incredible.

I don't read them. But I don't understand why so much of what I thought was a general photography forum is occupied by so many Canon and Nikon discussions. I see so many replies to other specific gear questions that suggest the member go to the related forum for the answer, that I am left wondering why the Canon and Nikon folks don't go to those forums for the answers to their questions.

Frankly, I’m beyond tired of reading about Canon and Nike, period! Seems to me that on the “general” page of UHH, the discussion should be limited to general topics. You Canon and Nikon folks should take your discussions to the mfg specific pages.

Good camera, but lacks a viewfinder—although an add on EVF is available. My wife traded hers for an extraordinary camera, the Olympus PEN F. This one does it all!
