Ty Linda,
I was recently given Adobe photoshop elements 2020, I HAVE NOT OPENED IT.
is it any good, should I return it for a better version? From the description seems TOO simple, I might grow out of it quickly? Really stuck here!

Hey Jimmy,
Ty for getting back so quickly!
Being computer illiterate really stinks, but we’ll get thru it.
My Apple MacBook Air is 13”, Mac OS Catalina, version 10.15.3, Retina display, 1.6 ghz, dual band intel core i5.
Memory is 8 GB, 3133 MHz, LPDDR3 ,
Graphics: intel UHD 617, 1536 MB.
2 ports, not USB , I have an Ext hard drive digit it.

The Dell is a 15” laptop, 7586, windows 10 home, 2 in1, google chrome, i7, 8565u, 1.8 GHz, 16 GB memory, 512 GB SSD
That’s it, should I get a desk too, PC or apple, size of screen.
I have an instrument to calibrate the monitor.
Open to all suggestions.

Thanks so very much Jimmy, I’m not computer smart so this will really help!!
What computer should I dedicate only to photos??
Should it be a Apple desktop and what size monitor or I have a Apple MacBook Air, 13” and a Dell 15” laptop.
Should it be a new Dell desktop ?

Again, this would be only for photos?
Size of monitor ? Resolution?
Really appreciate your help.
Anyone else can give opinions too!

Have been avoiding post processing for years, never decided on a "easy to use' edition...Adobe photoshop, light room and just purchased Adobe photoshop elements 2020... haven't even opened it.

Please, anyone have experience with program.
I have been working on composition, etc, time for the next step!

I have a Apple Mac Book air and dell laptop, which should I use and is it prudent to buy a desktop computer, ? make . model and size, Ram? memory etc.
it will be devoted only to photography.
My printer is the Epson Surecolor P-600.. love that!

All responses, good and bad are appreciated!

I just purchased Adobe photoshop elements 2020.
Was told it was very simple to use and no monthly fees.
Has anyone used it?
I appreciate aALL moment, negative and positive!
I have not opened or registered it...should I return it.

I might be interested, is that the newest model?
I thought the new one was NOT' the "D" model for crop sensor ?
Or is there 2 different lenses?
Do u know the weight of your lens?

Travelled to New Orleans to see totality; most of New Orleans was clouded over but had many periods of clarity.
Nikon 500 camera with Nikor 200-400mm AF-S.
Must have taken 300 images... was on my bucket list for ever!

Bringing my d 500 into Nikon for a “check up” firmware upgrade etc. can they check the shutter count for me?

Newbie question.
I bought a new Nikon D 500, great camera, lots of photos.
Curious, how do I find out what the "shutter count" is?
Is it a simple find hidden in the menu?

Ty Alberio,
I appreciate your help!
I’ve done lots of “regular and underwater” photography but really my first venture into astroimaging.
I have an astrophysics “Traveller” scope 105mm at f/6 with lots of televue eyepieces, a 1.8 Barlow and a Nikon d 500 with lots of Nikon lenses, longest is a Nikon 200-400 mm zoom used for wildlife.
Also a Lunt 60 mm solar scope with 50 mm external etalon.
Want to start slow with single shot images of planets and sun.
Will need advice about post processing... photoshop scares the heck out of me, so many variations, monthly fees etc.
? Lightroom??
Printer is great Epson P 600.. love it.
Good equip but lack of knowledge. Not even thinking of DEep Sky Imaging, too much post processing and haven’t bought a German equatorial Mount, using a Gitzo carbon fiber tripod, sturdy and light for grab and go.
Brother, I need your help!
Thanks,
Doctp
