Newbie question.
I bought a new Nikon D 500, great camera, lots of photos.
Curious, how do I find out what the "shutter count" is?
Is it a simple find hidden in the menu?

It is in the EXIF of every image taken
Take a shot, upload an unedited jpg to a site like
https://www.camerashuttercount.com/ and it should return the shutter count
You can also read all the EXIF data for each image using a copy of the free tool, EXIFTOOL which reads and writes EXIF data.
Photoshop also will display all of the EXIF data in an image, along with many other applications, or you can connect to your camera and use software to read the shutter count, but on a Nikon, it is easy to just snap the shutter and read the EXIF data from the resulting file.
Bringing my d 500 into Nikon for a “check up” firmware upgrade etc. can they check the shutter count for me?
