Thank you for sharing these great photos of a very special place, and the dedicated members of the Old Guard that have volunteered to serve there. I've been there once and took a few black and white photos that are still on my office wall. Yours are better than mine.
Wife was on the back patio and knocked on the window to get my attention. Looked out and saw this guy sitting on the fence. Grabbed my Sony alpha 500 w/ 55-210 4.5 lens on it and snuck out the back door. I took a bunch of shots with only these good enough to post. He figured out there were lots of small birds in the Indian Hawthorn and flew in to get breakfast. The little guy in the last couple of shots smacked into the windows and I found him hiding under the outdoor sofa we were sitting on.
The auto industry pulled this same stunt years ago. Then right to repair laws got passed. Now they (The auto manufacturers) are required to make repair information available. They can charge repairers a fee or subscription for access to the information.
Thanks for posting. I did 13 years in the Army. 4 enlisted, 9 Commissioned. It was a far better education than the ones I got a Loyola University and the University of Tampa. I did not learn theory there, just the real facts of life.
Thanks for posting. Really brings back some memories. In '77 I was stationed in Vertheim, not very far from Wuertzburg. My son was just about the age of the kids in your pictures and we celebrated his 45th birthday this past Saturday.
