Is there any demand for this stuff?

Check a film site ... for film cameras and other equipment is growing ... someone is probably interested in what you have to sell ...

Do you still own your first real/serious camera?

Got my first real camera in SVN in 1966, a Yashica Electro 35 ... sadly, I have no idea what became of it, did not return with me.

Fast-forward - when I returned to film a couple of years ago I found a real nice Yashica Electro 35 GSN, had it CLAd and it has become my EDC, I carry a second camera, usually a digital since my TLR is in Florida being rebuilt.

I would gladly support my local businesses but, there are none around ... I can't even get printer ink at my local big boxes, or anything "photographic" ...

Does anyone have experience buying cameras from Japan? ...

I recently purchased a 1970's era TLR from a seller in Japan ...! The camera was listed as "Near Mint" and it came with a wide-angle lens attachment. The camera was nowhere "Near Mint"! While not used hard or anything like that it appeared that it had never been serviced, and the seller did not include the wide-angle lens attachment.

I contacted the seller and he agreed to refund part of the purchase price and the wide-angle attachment is on the way via UPS (I have checked the tracking number). I feel okay with the deal and would order from Japan again.

... Good folks, I carried a Yashica Electro 35 ... Andy

The YE35 was my first "real" camera ... got it at the PX in An Loc, SVN in late '66 or early "67 ... used it until in ETSd in September '67 ... don't have any idea what happened to it ...

But, I still use one at least once a week in my film camera rotation ... it's a great little camera that you have to think about using ...

I had mine CLAd by 'https://www.etsy.com/shop/YashicaCameraShoppe' ... !

I would recommend getting it going and using it, of course, that's just my idea.

... one more vote for "Consumer Cellular" ...

I tried to join through my local 'Target' but talked to a young man who did not know what 'CC' was ... contacted 'CC' direct, had the Sim card in two days, called to make the switch, now I'm a happy CCer who cut his cell phone bill by more than $100.00 a month ... told by 'CC' that they use AT&T and T-Mobile towers ...

... Zeiss wipes is at Walmart ...

Interesting note - I was looking around my local Walmart for wipes ... finding none I asked the 'Computer/Stereo/Camera/Flashlight Associate if they had any ... he told me "no, nothing in stock" ... as I turned away I noticed an end-cap (that I walked by at least twice) full of Zeiss wipes ... pointing this out to the associate I was informed that "they must have just come in but, they are not very good, I would never use them" ... I did not ask what part of his shirt-tail he used, just kept quiet and I bought a bunch ... !
