Safe lens wipes?

I'm looking for recommendations of safe, effective pre-moistened wipes for dust and fingerprints on camera lenses and lcd screens. There are many products for sale on Amazon, including Nikon and Zeiss products, but some buyers complain that these products are too dry. Maybe they are not supposed to be very wet.

I use the Zeiss wipes. They do the job very well for me.

I used the Zeus’s lens wipes on both camera gear, and other scopes. You should take a look at a Lens Pen, they’re also very good.
Whatever item you decide on I suggest you gently blow off any dust to prevent scratching the lens during cleaning.
Good luck

My last batch came from B&H.

NIKON is my preference.

ZEISS is also good, but a bit wetter.

Either will do a good job.

Wow! I belong to a few forums, but I've never had a reply before I could go an refill my wine glass!

A lot of people are going to blast you for even asking this. Trust me. But....I understand that emergency situation. I wear glasses. Stop by any nearby optical store. They will usually have a "fresher" supply. They're not typically very wet, but the cheap ones on line or from the dollar store will dry up VERY quickly.

Before anyone beats me up for this, this is not how I regularly clean my camera lenses or eyeglasses. This is meant for those emergency situations. Because of my prescription, for the last 40 years I've had plastic lenses. Haven't scratched any using these. What could it possibly do to a glass lens if used correctly?

A lot of people are going to blast you for even as... (show quote)

Lens elements are a lot harder than most people realize.

I use Zeiss or Nikon interchangeably. They have always seemed the same to me. The packaging on the 200 packs is even the same.

I also use the Zeiss wipes, but with great care. I almost never wipe a lens's glass surface as most of mine have a protective filter. I do wipe the filters now and then. Most of my cleaning comes from a small air blower or a lens brush. When a lens such as my 400/2.8 really needs cleaning, I send it in for a CLA @ Nikon. The best price I have found on the Zeiss wipes is at Walmart, but I have not checked Amazon. Best of luck.

I know that. But, you wouldn't believe how many times I've been chastised for even suggesting the use of these.

Because I wear glasses, they can usually be found in the glove box of my personal and work vehicles. Not to mention duffle bags on hunting or fishing trips. They're awesome in a pinch. And cheap. Priceless in certain situations.

I have used Zeiss wipes exclusively for over 30 years now, I trust them explicitly and was overjoyed when Walmart started carrying them at less than half the price of B&H where I started buying them in the 1980s
