don't like it much. I'm to close or something, is it normal to be so blurry. . . I don't think so. HELP!!!

I love these shots. I just got a new macro lens, but I find that when I take a picture, the outer edges of the picture are blurry. Do I need to stand back a bit, cause I get right down and personal with whatever I'm shooting.
ya gotta love birds taking a bath
get under the wing
do the shampoo
what are you looking at
I love doves and the Magpie is beautiful. Wish we had them around this part of NE.
Thanks Don. Appreciate your reply!!
They have taken the feathers from his hand. Not always, sometimes.
The Tree Swallows like to line their nests with goose feathers. So we went out and found some, brought them home, and stood out with them in our hands. Actually, Fred held the feathers, I the camera. It is totally amazing that these beautiful creatures will swoop down to get the feather, and not give a hoot about us. Except, when we walk out, they will fly over us to see if we have anything for them.
Thanks to all of you who commented. I really do appreciate it. We live in the "boonies" but we feed every feathered friend that comes along. Have MANY feeders, and three heated birdbaths (for winter), and I am always amazed at the variety of birds we get. Robins all winter long, along with Goldfinches. In the spring they leave, and all kind of others come to enjoy the heat. A lot of the time, I take the pictures through the kitchen window, and that cuts back on color, and trueness of the outdoors. Thank you all again!!!
The first time sending pictures. I've taken many pictures, but have no clue as if they are any good or not. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it. Thanks
I will probably use the expression "flying hell". . . thanks!
