The first time sending pictures. I've taken many pictures, but have no clue as if they are any good or not. If you have any suggestions I would appreciate it. Thanks

Very good for a start. Perhaps a higher ISO speed to get a faster shutter speed to eliminate the blur. cheers, jon

Welcome Annie, yes you need a higher shutter speed for action shots.

adjust the tilt of the picture to get the nest vertical. Then remove the blue tint(i'm pretty certain that birdhouse was painted white, adj for that).

As for shutter speeds. yes increase them if you want to stop the wing motion, but remember that some blur adds dynamics to the shot.

We, the wife and I, take a lot of bird shots and have learned to guess what shutter speed will be best for a particular shot...sometimes we actually get it right! ;)

Thanks to all of you who commented. I really do appreciate it. We live in the "boonies" but we feed every feathered friend that comes along. Have MANY feeders, and three heated birdbaths (for winter), and I am always amazed at the variety of birds we get. Robins all winter long, along with Goldfinches. In the spring they leave, and all kind of others come to enjoy the heat. A lot of the time, I take the pictures through the kitchen window, and that cuts back on color, and trueness of the outdoors. Thank you all again!!!

you could buy a $3 tarp or old sheet, set up outside. to have your morning coffee or tea behind don't be afraid to cut a slit in it for lens. don't forget your table and chair

Just straighten and turn up the shutter speed Annie. Do you use a post processing program? PP programs can help you.
Also, keep posting your images!!
