I'll add my very nicely done to the growing list. I do like #2 the most.

To the OP. Your class is sounding more like a community collage sponsored club. Not that it's a bad thing, it just sounds more like a club instead of a class.

I post daily to Instagram and FB my general photos. In fact I do a daily nature photo post. I have friends and family that look forward to seeing my posts. Since I'm a hobbyist the only thing I'd get from somebody stealing my photo is flattered they thought it worthy of the risk. I also have my Instagram and FB set to public except for personal contact info. If I worry about it getting out I don't post, period.

I did a search and I think I found it. If I did it's called a night blooming cereus.

The apple trees are actually the sunny and shady sides of the same tree.

You sure it's a he? The abdomen looks awfully large. Maybe it's a she looking for a place to deposit her eggs. Usually when I see them they've landed on me. I had one once sitting on my shoulder like a parrot. Anyway, great series. It was hard to choose but I have to pick #3 as my favorite.

There is one aspect of shooting nudes that I haven't seen mentioned. There are people that believe there is no such thing as artistic nude no matter how much or little of the body is shown. It's all porn. How are you going to deal with them with their wide variety of reactions from angry to lust? Just something to consider.

There is actually a forum on UHH that is specific to this kind of photography:

I might be able to find the answers there.

Of course, but isn't that what we live for here?

Yeah, I've noticed. It's like somebody on here posted elsewhere. You ask some people what time it is and they'll tell you how to build a clock.

I've narrowed it down to the smaller the F-stop number the smaller amount of focus area in the photo. I'm good with that. Any more explanation would just be confusing.

Sure. Lots of times.

No idea whether or not it can be found on line, but see if you can find any of the images from Fay Godwin's book, _Land_. She made wind her friend.

Thirty mph wind, even with variable and/or higher gusts, doesn't make shooting difficult, it only makes shooting challenging. Don't remember who it was --maybe Edward Weston or Paul Strand or somebody like that-- but one of those greats described waiting for that moment between when wind would blow something to its apogee, the subject would briefly 'stop', and return to its opposing pendulum swing. On your side of things, camera-wise, think sand bags or weights of some kind. And if these don't work for you, don't bother trying to use the 600mm lens?

I practiced the timing the wind thing yesterday. I did my first aperture priority shots of some tiny flowers. I got set up during the low points of the wind then wait for the right moment. It took a few tries but I got some good shots.
