Hi Group
I am headed to Brazil to visit the Pantanal and the Amazon. I have never used the device chargers direct to higher voltages for the iPhone, pad, or camera chargers that say the take the 240 or so voltages just using a plug converter to 110 plug. Have any of you done this without problems charging or other issues?

I also had a great trip to Cuba and wondered around all the cities we visited without a single worry. The people were kind and happy to have Americans there. I wondered Havana at night and no worries. Sure there are some sore heads there but the vast majority want us there.
Now on the political side, if we could just get our government to open their eyes to reality and drop the embargo and let things settle out..........

I lived at Stead when it was an AFB in the 60's as an air force brat. What a difference from back then

thanks for the info. These pics date back years and I haven't been able to find them so far but admit I am not a whiz with these things and would rather get pro help than screw something up. Also to make sure in the future that my back ups are done right.

I'm curious to know if others have the same issue I've had with my Mac and Lightroom. Once again when I went into LR to do some work all my photos are gone except for 4 that shouldn't even be there. I've had this happen before and suspect Apple auto upgrades for the problem for some reason. I will be taking all my gear including external backups to a pro to resolve the issue as I haven't found the pics anywhere that is obvious including on my back up.
Strange strange strange.

I remember my graduating class of '61 from the American serviceman's Kaiserslautern High School in Germany hanging our class banner from the top of the tower. Still have a pic of it in my album. We sure looked different back then from today's grads. Can you imagine 60 seniors turned loose in Rome with only 4 chaperones.

I use a sling bag as a carry on camera bag. I like sling bags for when hiking for the access to items without setting it on the ground or having to find a place to set it on.

I drove a car similar to this across the US from the west going to New Jersey to catch a plane to Germany in 1959. 4 door 6 cylinder. Very interesting trip but the car didn't make it all the way and we had to finish the trip on a Greyhound.

Makes me want to get out the slats for a go on the snow but maybe not with the outrageous stunts and jumps. Used to pull a few of the crazies off the slops in sleds in my younger days which made me more careful.

I lived in Nevada for a number of years as a teen and then as a young adult. Traveled through there many times. I do remember in the first years going through that my dad told me about the town being known for the houses of ill repute. Ahh!! the early years when things were still a bit of the wild west and the painted rocks pointing the way to Joe Conforte's on the Truckee River east of Reno.. Kids settled with fists instead of guns which we all carried in our pick ups in racks behind the seats.
