But they didn't want the booze, just the glass or ceramic collectible container. So other customers brought in empty bottles of the right brand, bought the booze and the collectors kept the container.
OK, after shave - I would guess collectors are after those also.

I had one of these and I think I still have it. It was after shave, maybe Avon.

Avon calling!! I had a couple of them while they produced Avon Windjammer aftershave. I loved that fragrance.
Any flavour I've loved has been taken off the market.
All the other Avon lines smelt like fly spray.
Old Spice wasn't too bad. My daughters boyfriend introduced me to an Aramis product, Havana.
A real chick magnet. I used it for years but what happened, yes! Discontinued line.
My Avon bottles were black VW Beetles.
On a trip to Bali years ago, in one of the "good" quality shops, I saw 3 bottles of Havana on the shelves.
I bought two & my mate bought the other. They were quite expensive, but they were the last I ever saw.
The girls in the parfumary treated us like millionaires. I still have a little squirt or two left for special occasions.
Anyway eesaw eyesore, you don't seem to be the sophisticated type to used nice fragrances. More like trumps choice, "An Evening In a Baghdad Brothel" or "Arabs Armpit" or even "A waft of a Saudi Slapper" would be up your alley.
Avon was way too Exotic for you.

Cologne or aftershave bottle from Avon. My wife bought me one way back in the last century. Still have it someplace around here. Have another one shaped like a dog, too. Liked the bottles, not the stinky stuff inside so much.
