Originally used a Canon 5DII to shoot video and stills, and now use GH5's. I've also shot with Sony. I've logged thousands of hours of video, and quite a few stills over the years. I've also shot with various Sony still and video cameras. I've quite a few brands of clone batteries, and none of them match OEM. Some come close, but they all fall short in capacity. They also vary more between copies than OEM. There is a reason that they are so much cheaper.

That said, a couple of cheap batteries are just fine for travel and fun.

No sure on the 5300, but many if not most cameras have a separate auto ISO setting. It's the first thing I turn off when I get a new one.

The only cameras I know of that can do this are made by Panasonic. Lumix GH5 is your best bet. Dual card slots, NO 30-minute time limit, NO overheating, GREAT video and audio quality, very good low light performance and surprisingly great stills.

You would need the battery eliminator (AC adapter, OR a battery grip and multiple charged batteries.

I second the recommendation on the GH5. I own one and love it. I routinely shoot over six hour sessions. I'd never buy another camera with video time limits.

By the way, the sibling G85 also shoots continuously. Fantastic bargain for the kit version at around $800. No earphone jack, or XLR adapter support, but it does have a mic jack.

I've not encountered this particular issue. They should automatically appear in the Develop module after import, and the source selector at the bottom above the strip should change to "Previous Import". The same list should also contain the last several imports. Do they show up there? Perhaps in sync errors?

I have taken some video in years past and the first thing that comes to mind is to question how much video you can get on a card. For some reason 3 hours worth seems like a lot for one card. Memory capability and battery power (unless you use an AC adapter) would be my 2 concerns to question as you evaluate a camera.

It depends on the camera and the resolution, but you can usually expect about 10 gigs per hour. 4K is going to do at least double to quadruple that.

Just pick the Sony or Canon camcorder that fits your budget, but leave room for the largest capacity battery, and a 64GB or 128GB SD card. These items alone will run around $150 to $175 total. Another $50 or so for a tripod if you don't already have one. A table top one for $30 or so might do. You can still get a very respectable camera for $300. If you have a local camera store, go there.

Photoshop is a very different tool from Lightroom. Both are complementary, and can do quite a few of the same things. As for LR4, it's great on a small screen like a tablet. This is what it's intended for. LR Classic is much better on a large display.

I have had to ask the help of the Ebay support folks several times, and they have been great. A better support experience than many companies. Looking at you here AT&T. I've sold literally hundreds of items, and bought quite a few, and have had only a few rough spots. Just follow best practices and you'll be fine.

Is it possible that your computer is logged in as a different user account? If so, they would still be under C:\users\[username] More than one folder here would be a clue. If they were deleted, they should have been in the recycle bin, unless is was dumped since.

If you draw the patch on the desired area, then drag it where you want it, you should get what you're looking for.

Nice looking shots. Monochrome really works well for these.
