As a DA (Department of the Army) photographer, i was tasked with shooting the 119th SFG, a reserve group from Pueblo, CO. I did a lot prep work the day before. Admitted, they were special ID shots they required prior to deployment. The started to arrive about 0800, I had the majority of them shot and out the door by 1300. Yes, there were stragglers and always will be. Prep work consisted of test shots of whoever would volunteer. I picked a head and head shoulder size that would enable the person to hold a small piece of paper with there last name and initials printed in block letters using a black sharpie. The only thing I checked for was to make sure everybody had there eyes open. I loaded everything into PS, did my post processing as needed and save the individuals using their name/initials as the file name. I had to print four prints of each individual which wasn't that bad as we had the equipment to do it. You could do a collage with each person being on their own layer, i've also done that using the name as the layer name. Hope this will give you some ideas and help out with your project!
As promised earlier, here are a few images that I have done. The saddles are mine, the boy washing his face is from the the national archives and in the public domain and the family shot is commercial shot from another galaxy! One thing I like to do is include the edges of the original negative, but retain the edge markings of the original negative for authenticity. Hope this helps.
You can do it in Photoshop, there are several different approaches, do a search on YouTube. it's not free, but I went the Codify Pro route. its an excellent program and they have a free fifteen day trial period. For me it was worth it, you'll have to check the price. It has a great FB page and a lot people out there are will ing to share what they have learned. I'll hunt my archives and find something I can attach. I'll have to look later in the day.
Need help. I will be picking up my new Mac Mini tomorrow. I plan using it strictly for photo imaging, both still and video.
How do I move move my catalog
From the laptop to the Mini? I currently have all my images and videos on two separate external drives, the volume names will remain unchanged. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
I've started to use my google drive on a limited basis. I upload the photos that I want to share, get a link to that folder then send it out to whoever I want. As near as I can tell, the rest of the drive is inaccessible. If I'm wrong on this assumption, I'm sure somebody out there will let me know!
Not knowing what OS you have, I just did a flip on my iPad/iPhone editing in Photos. I understand what you want to do, but I wouldn’t know how to make it happen without using some kind of editor. Somebody out there will probably come up with a way to do it. Lots of luck!

My caller ID has been showing "Toll Free Call" lately. That turns out to be a telemarketer of some kind. Usually, the ID indicates "Spam Risk." In either case, I pick up and hang up.
We don't have a landline, only cell phones. I keep mine on "Block unknown callers", if you are not in my contacts list, you don't get through, but you can leave me a voice mail. If I am expecting a call from someone that is not in my list I'll take it off call blocking. It seems to have really cut down on spam calls.
We just bought 2005 super c motorhome. Decent price with low mileage. We’ve been doing some updates to make it more lovable. One of the items that we replaced was the microwave/convection oven. It was a 2003 Amana, couldn’t find one so we ordered a Sharp through Home Depot. Unpacked it and we’re looking at the install instruction and various parts. Lo and behold the only difference between the new one and the old one was the name! Anybody else run into this situation? Asking for a friend!

Not the best picture but this is some of what I do for fun besides photography.
Very nice! A different way to be creative!
Several years ago before I retired, we had a truckload of photochemistry to dispose of. I called the appropriate folks and I was told to put it down the drain with lots of water to dilute it before it reached the treatment plant. Unless you are on a septic system, that should work, but as already mentioned, call first.
Not having the excess camera or funds for an IR conversion, I’ve had a great deal of success using PS to create an IR image.
I can count on one hand all of my friends, I do have a lot of acquaintances, though.
Took me l me a couple of seconds to put things together! Great one Jerry!
Not quite in the same boat. We’ve recently moved and to save space I went through all the negs, slides and photo’s I’ve accumulated over the past 50 years. Some I haven’t looked at for 49 years time to clean things out. I digitized all the thirty-five mm films, went through all the photos. I literally tossed out close to sixty pounds of stuff. I’ve stored it all on an external HD plus backed up to two different cloud accounts. Our daughter in law has full access to these accounts to fill out there family albums. I have no regrets as to the direction I’ve gone. Next project is all the music CDs we’ve accumulated through the years!
