I just looked at this.
If I buy the $135 combo pack of ink for my P-10, it comes with $620 worth of free paper.
And free shipping.

Yes, he was a big proponent of getting it the best you could in camera, but you would agree that his manipulation of the negative in the darkroom (which he did extensively) is a form of PP?

I thought this was a discussion on prim lenses for landscapes not SOOC. Adams wrote "the book" on SOOC and did very little PP. Have you worked in a dark room? No way did he overdo PP. He approved of very little in dark room manipulation. I would suggest you read his books. - Dave

Really?
Are you sure?

Like I said in my first response, there's a lot of info out there and everyone has an opinion.

I was just stating what I've tried and what seems to work for me. Sometimes (make that most of the time), the technical reasons get in the way.

Your scanner should do a preview (showing you that the setup is correct and that the orientation of the film is correct in the holders) so you wouldn't have to scan at a lesser quality. After the preview, you can then scan at the desired DPI.

I tried 4,800, and it didn't make a noticeable difference from 2,400 for 35mm. I do scan at 4,800 for medium format to get everything I can out of that.

I use the V600 and scan 35mm at 2,400. Not sure if this is correct way, but it's working for me.

Lots of info on the internet, and it seems like everyone has an opinion.

Lots of corner hot dog stands all over, but if you want really good deep dish pizza (not the tourist stuff) go two doors south of Central Camera.

You can not go into downtown Chicago and not go to Central Camera.

It's a time warp of how camera stores used to be.

So, along that same thought then...

If shooting with live view, does each image taken count as a shutter actuation since the mirror doesn't flop up and down?

I still want to shoot film. Got the Df just to save some bucks.

How much did you pay for the DF?
Could've bought any Nikon F body camera (take your pick), a whole cart full of film, have it developed, and still came out ahead.

Shooting film is cheap.

Anybody familiar with the Ft. Davis area who could point me in the right direction for some good night sky shots?

Here's a little tip I heard the other day. Haven't tried it yet, but it makes sense...

Set your ISO to 6400 first. The number of seconds metered at ISO 6400 equals the number of minutes at ISO 100 when you set it back.

None of those dates relate at all to the bayonet lens mounts. The Nikon F mount was introduced in 1959, the Canon FD mount in 1971, and the Pentax K mount in 1975. Before that they all used one form or another of screw mount, the Pentax S mount being the most widely known and used.

Canon is the company that decided to be different. Good marketing, and it worked!

Nikon had a bayonet type mount on their rangefinders before 1959. It was just the F mount introduced in 59.
