Hello fellow Hoggers just wondering why canon is giving away so much photo paper. I jumped on the offer that was posted earlier this week but I realized I needed to get some more ink for my canon pro 100. I went to their site for the value pack and whatauknow it came with a crazy amount of free paper listed but when it came up in my cart there was more. Does photo paper have an expiration date? It would take several years fore me to use all that paper. Anyone know what's up with that?

I just looked at this.
If I buy the $135 combo pack of ink for my P-10, it comes with $620 worth of free paper.
And free shipping.

Last page of the order.
I know they want to sell ink, and what better way than to give the paper away.

Good question! I have way too much paper and I use too much ink. You think Canon is making money? George 😀

Right. But it was right on time for me, I'm shooting portraits of the youth group at our church. We recently down sized our home(getting ready for retirement). And don't have as much storage. I'll be stuffing paper in every nook and crannie!

There's also a great trickle down effect. The local Craigslist has 5 offers of 13 X 9 paper (50 sheets) for $15 to $35.

Good luck on your down sizing. Did that last Fall and it's great. Got rid of all the stuff.

Been there, done that, and downsizing is great, until you need to buy things you got rid of all over again! No way around it unless you can predict the future.

So far so good. We don't have room for much else so if we buy something. Something has to go!! Golf clubs. Scuba gear etc. All the unnessary stuff according to my wife.

I too took advantage of the Canon paper offer. I have never heard of photo paper expiring. I hope I'm right!

Simple math for Canon, you'll have to buy a lot more ink to print on all that paper !

What am I missing here? Last time I bought 4"x6" Red River UP Gloss Paper, 68 lb. the cost was $21.20 for a single package. Granted that was plus freight, but I always buy several boxes of various papers at a time so one box of 4x6 wouldn't make that much difference.

How much 4" x 6" do you guys use, most of my printing is 8x10 or 11x14?
