Jim, i read that Roundup apparently kills Milkweed plants which are the primary egg-laying location for the Monarch and the food source of the larvae after birth. But you also say that "a key link in our food chain is under threat." what link of human's food source is under threat? Not clear on your comment. Thanks.

This IS a part of the "search" and the learning process, don't you think? Now if the student uses another person's photo that would be a problem. Metadata is today's plagarism detector. Krakowski has probably already learned more about creativity than anyone else in the class!!

Amazing images. I mostly understood your equipment description but not the description of "focus stack of ~130 images using Zerene." Can you explain?

I have never entered any images in this forum but here goes. these are from the Daughters of the American Revolution Hall in Washington DC, the site of many graduation ceremonies each spring.

Jerry C., that is what i have heard also, non-destructive- in that the original is preserved. i guess my question is how can i transfer all the work on individual photographs to a new program if i decide to move everything. Thank you

I have had LR for over a year and i am still trying to figure out how to handle my 36,000 photos. I am only marginally ahead of you in understanding it and I have taken one all-day learning session on it and I have Kelby's book. if i had know that LR was not the least bit-user friendly i would have stayed with Photoshop which is much more intuitive. Another issue that i would be interested in others comments on is whether I am now stuck with LR forever since all of the changes I have made in images are in the LR programe files rather than in the images themselves. How would i ever get those changes mover to another, new program if i abandoned LR?

Curious as to what the "Class III 5mW lasers" are. sounds like a military or highly classified item so if you have to kill me after you tell me please don't comment. I also like the top one best. Jerry
