This is a very interesting statue in a building in downtown Toronto. Im still tying to learn photoshop c6 but i was trying to create some sort of 3d effect. I know i failed miserably but a little advice would be most generous. Thanks
I took a try at it. I took and duplicated the layer and then did a selection of the 3 at the bottom. I then enlarged them and used the perspective tool to lean them and twist them some to cover up the original part of the image. used the clone tool to remove piecies i could not hide and then used a Gaussian blur to put more emphasis on the three in the front.
I have an Epson Artisan 50 I want to sell, along with 5 boxes of paper. Some paper has been used from each but I would say that at least 75% of each box still remains.
Epson premium presentation matte double sided. It was a 50 sheet box I would say between 35 to 40 sheets remains. Kodak photo paper 100 sheet box close to whole box remaining. HP Premium plus photo paper 50 sheet box roughly 40 sheets remain. Epson ultra-Premium photo paper luster 50 sheets close to 30 sheets remain. Hahnemule fine art photo rag smooth 308gsm 25 sheet box 7 sheets remain. The printer has 6 ink cartridges and I have installed new one with very little use. These are the larger capacity cartridges. I had to have a printer for a photo class that dealt with printing and it was used a total of six weeks. I am not really into doing my own image printing so I need to get rid of it. I am asking 200.00 for all of the above or would trade for a AFS 1.8 35mm nikkor lens. This price does not include shipping. I will have to price the package for correct shipping it is a little heavy. Again I estimated the amount of paper.
This also has the trey for inserting cd's for printing and it also comes with all the software.
To you noobs out there (I'm a bit of a noob also so I don't mean it as a put down) you've probably heard of the "sunny 16" rule.
It basically means this:
To get a properly exposed image when it's "sunny" set the f/stop on "16" and the ISO and shutter speed to match each other.
Example: f/16 SS = 1/200 ISO 200
Or
f/16 SS = 1/1000 ISO 1000
Or
f/16 SS = 1/500 ISO 500
And so on...with me so far?
So what do you do when the conditions AREN'T sunny?
Well....that's where this chart comes in. The same rule applies; the ISO and shutter speed stay matched but the f/stop changes in relationship to the light conditions.
I thought that this was useful and it wouldn't be hard to memorize either, even for someone my age :)

Here are two Nikon lenses in very good or excellent condition. They look like they have never been used as both are free from any cosmetic issues. The glass on both is clear. The 28 mm F 2.8 is $107.00 including postage to the continental U.S. The 50 mm 1.8 is $75.00 including shipping. I prefer PayPal but will accept USPS (Post Office) money orders. These lenses are in superior condition.
Are these still available and will they work on my nikon 5100
Has anyone ever had any experience with selling their stuff at:
http://www.macjacartiststudio.com
What are the implications of putting my stuff out there?
I don't know anything about these folks but you may want to look at www.fineartamerica.com it is a great website for selling. for 30.00 a year you get full access to their site plus a free webpage that is tied to their site. someone wants a print it goes back to the site and they can purchase the print. they will ship and put the money in to a paypal accout or however you want it. plus you commissions for any thing extra that is ordered. exp. picture frame, canvas. etc.
For a friend...this shot needs some TLC from those that can. Thanks in advance.
I do some restoration work if you would send me the full res image i would be glad to take a look at it. It also needs to be scanned in RGB to help with the restore.
