Has anyone ever had any experience with selling their stuff at:

http://www.macjacartiststudio.com

What are the implications of putting my stuff out there?

I don't know anything about these folks but you may want to look at www.fineartamerica.com it is a great website for selling. for 30.00 a year you get full access to their site plus a free webpage that is tied to their site. someone wants a print it goes back to the site and they can purchase the print. they will ship and put the money in to a paypal accout or however you want it. plus you commissions for any thing extra that is ordered. exp. picture frame, canvas. etc.

I agree with darkmanCANADA. I've been selling on Fine Art America for a few years with no complaints.

I've tried many selling sites over the last 7 years. I've never heard of macjacartiststudio. I've looked at their website, and I see no reason to ever use their services. Their website seems too complicated, and buyers want simplicity. It's also too expensive.

Selling any kind of art online, including photography, is very difficult. All the selling sites are filled with thousands of other people trying to sell their wares. Somehow, you've got to have something very unique, and you've got to get people to see it.

As already mentioned, fineartamerica.com is a good site, and much more reasonable in cost. There's also Etsy.com, eBid.com, and many others. This article might be helpful:

Good luck! Have fun! Experiment and learn a lot. But don't quit your day job.

Personally, I use a combination of my own website and eBid.com.

I've been selling on fine art america for several years, never any complaints, and I get paid promptly with no minimum balance and no hassle. I get my payment through Paypal which I then transfer directly to my bank account.
