I don't know what I was thinking, it is a Panasonic not a Sony. And yes I pulled battery and left it out overnight. You can hear the stepper motor cycling but not lens movement so I suspect something is broken.
I was taking some photos with an older Sony Lumix ZS70 P&S the other day and all of a sudden it gave me a message to "turn off and restart" which I did and the lens did not retract and now it says "system error (focus)" and it is non working with lens locked in the out position. Any suggestions as to repairs or is it just a parts camera on ebay now. Unfortunately I liked the little camera for it's size and many features so sending it out for repair if the cost is not prohibitive is an option I suppose. Any repair shop suggestions also would be appreciated.
That was well worth watching. Thanks for posting.
I could use some 67's. If you have them I will send you my address in Irvine, ca
Thanks, Dave
I think you are right, unless someone has a solution it goes back on ebay.
My friend has a G7X II that died while he was using it, i.e., it shut down with the lens out and would not turn back on. He and I tried everything and no luck so he asked me to put it on ebay and I did. Low and behold it sold for over $250 after many bids by many different people, but the buyer (a one time bidder) after paying asked to be let out as he did not realize it was a parts/not working listing and I let him do so. I was going to put it back on but then I thought, what do these folks know that I don't that they would pay so much for a non working camera. Anyone here have any suggestions as to how to reactivate it. I called Canon and they said the std repair cost for this camera is $325 regardless of what is wrong with it.
I can still remember attending a game back in the early 70's and then they played the 1812 overture during the fireworks on the river while we watched them from the parking garage overlooking the river.
I always enjoy looking at these birds and these were some of the best picts I have seen. Thanks.
Absolutely outstanding set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brent's photos were the first one's that brought me to UHH due to their quality and content. So very sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family.
So what was the name of the course? It looks fun.
Please keep them coming. It is very enjoyable to view them!
What are the islands(?) in no 2
Thanks to all for the inputs. It is in like new condition so I bought it. Now to find out if I like it.
I have a Sony a6000 that I have been using with the 16-50 kit lens and a 55-210 lens. However a friend has offered me a Sony 18-200 lens for $250 and I'm thinking this may be a good solution for general all around use. I know it is a little big, but I would appreciate any comments from those who have used this lens.
