nice job and in my opinion the people lend scale (and realism) to the picture. the colors are beautiful and the light works wonderfully.

I agree re: the people. They are unobtrusive and do give scale. As to the sharpness, on the downloaded photo, I had no trouble counting the four ducks mid-photo who have their butts in the air. Overall, a beautiful shot I would be pleased to bring home and put on the den wall.

Others' mileage may vary, of course.

That may have been the same couple that were having breakfast one morning. Suddenly, the wife stood up, grabbed the dish towel lying on the table, smacked her husband in the face with it, and said, "That's for being a lousy lover." She then sat back down.
The husband stood up, threw his glass of orange juice in her face, and said, "That's for knowing the difference."

I'm in the same club as the rest of you, my grandson wanted one last year. I couldn't even find one, So I am in total agreement; but please, please do not X out Christ from Christmas after all He is the reason for the season. He has all ready been Xed out from schools and a variety of other places. Let's not X Him out of Christmas

Originally from my Sunday School teacher sixty years ago, and now from Wikipedia:

"The word "Christ" and its compounds, including "Christmas", have been abbreviated in English for at least the past 1,000 years, long before the modern "Xmas" was commonly used. "Christ" was often written as "Xρ" or "Xt"; there are references in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle as far back as 1021. This 'X' and 'P' arose as the uppercase forms of the Greek letters χ (Ch) and ρ (R) used in ancient abbreviations for 'Χριστος' (Greek for "Christ").[1] The Chi-Rho, an amalgamation of the two Greek letters rendered as '☧' (Unicode character U+2627 ☧ CHI RHO) is a symbol often used to represent Christ in Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox Christian Churches.[24]"

Just sayin' . . . .

And I forgot to mention the yellow posts in the color print which were virtually giant arrows pointing to the dark blue shirt. Yep --as good as the B&W shot is, the color gets my vote.

The difference in my response to the color, and then the B&W, surprised me. I looked at the color and the bold blue shirt caught my attention, and the crutch took my eyes down to the right foot. I then scanned down to the B&W copy, and the woman in the background sprang out. I had not even noticed her in the color print, as I was so focused on the man in the foreground that I did not look at the rest of the photo. I prefer the color because of the fact that the man who is the main subject grabs you and keeps you. "You" being me, of course.
Very nice and interesting shot, on several levels. I'm just sain' . . . .

I was also a Captain Midnight fan. I sent in an Ovaltine seal and $.25 for a decoder badge. I received the badge, my $.25 back, and a letter from Captain Midnight, himself, telling me that Captain Midnight's rangers EARNED their badges, the did not buy them. Many times I have wished I had had the foresight to keep that letter! Opportunities lost. Sigh.

Thanks. I was asking for my son. He contacted me last night and said he is looking for an EP-5, not an EPL-5. I did not even know there were two versions. Thanks anyhow.
