I've been trying to buy the new Microsoft Xbox series X for my grandson. Has anyone had any luck getting one of these without the 200% to 300% price tag? I know there is a chip shortage but someone is finding these and then reselling them for 2 to 3 times their MSRP.

I'm in the same boat with the PS5..I've been trying to find one (for myself) since they came out. You have to be in the right place at the right time. There are rumors there are Reddit sources that post when big stores are getting a shipment, but I haven't really tried to find them, as I still have a perfectly good PS4 I still use.

I couldn't even find one, So I am in total agreement; but please, please do not X out Christ from Christmas after all He is the reason for the season. He has all ready been Xed out from schools and a variety of other places. Let's not X Him out of Christmas

My daughter got lucky, we've all been looking for a few weeks on several sites, the key is get up early when you know a store is about to re-stock units. She was able to grab one at 3:00 am (NY time). Good luck...

I used to work at Walmart until I retired. I can’t tell you the number of times people I call “ scalpers “ would come to the store and buy every PS4, Xbox, the newest doll for Xmas, all of our affordable laptops and any other desirable product we had in the store. They had an app on their phone that told them what we had in inventory. They quite often arrived the day after the shipment came in. They came in vans large enough to carry as much as they could get. I’ve been told there are people with applications on their computers that are able to purchase anything from Super Bowl tickets to electronics in huge quantities the second they become available and then they resale them at 200 to 500 % profit leaving the average consumer priced out of the market. I never said anything ugly to these individuals because of store policy but I was never pleasant to them. Small wonder these products are not available.

I bought my grandson one directly from Microsoft store online just prior to Black Friday. I got the XBox Series x, a controller and a game for a little over $600 with tax. On Black Friday, Microsoft was no longer offering any XBox Series X online.
