Beautiful shot. Beautiful bird. This is the second closeup of hummers that I enjoyed. The first, by someone else, had the image of a dog near the tail. On yours, I see an owl. I’m weird that way, faces and images jump out at me. Bob.
Great shot. Awesome. When I was stationed in England, I was assisting to set up a booth at the Mildenhall air show. It was early morning, cool and damp. An F111 flew over, slow and with a slight nose up attitude. A mist hood was over the plane nose to tail. I stood there watching in awe, thinking (wow, a big cobra). When “camera” dawned on me, my car, right next, I grabbed my camera, sighted, but the pilot changed attitude and the hood was gone. One of my regrettable misses. Never saw it again. Thought of it when I saw your photo. My sighting was before any digital, as I couldn’t grab my phone and shoot. Thanks for your photo. Robert F.

Hmm. If everything comes back once we’re all extinct, who’s going to tack pictures of all the new wonderful beauty? I once saw a rendition (can’t think of word, like police artist, makes a pic from skulls or bones, anyway) of what humans might look like if we evolved from reptiles. Assuming we evolved from... So anyway, maybe the next time the Good Lord might try crocs. Oops, crocodiles, or gators. Just an attempt at humor.
We are not able to turn things around. It is not us! It is a natural function of the earth. It has warmed and cooled before. Do some research! We’re due for a magnetic pole shift. What will that do? One volcano puts out more crap than the US. Jelly stone is due to blow, between now and whenever - a proverbial nuclear winter. Accept what’s happening as part of nature. Read the results of cording the Greenland ice pack, it’s hard to find. But, the warming and cooling all happened before, before any industry was around. Just for maybes, the earth might be kicking our asses off just like the dinos.
