If I recall correctly, you need to hold down whatever button you have assigned for focusing while you are on the subject. Check YouTube as there are a bunch of videos on the topic. It takes a bit of getting used to.

In the past I have purchased from KEH with zero problems but now there are more choices.

Has anyone had a positive experience with MPB.com? Feel free to suggest any other online stores that you have received good or great service from.

Thanks,

Mike

I've bought from KEH, MPB and Roberts. All of them have been stellar. KEH is probably my favorite though.

So I've got a shoot planned for September and was thinking about maybe renting a couple of Canon L series EF mount lenses. Has anyone here done something similar and what was the expectation vs reality? Which company did you rent from and would you rent from them again?

I think it’s at least as rugged as my old Nikon F3 was. It has that same feel.

That's saying something! The F3 was famous for it's toughness. I have a Canon 5DMkiii and it feels like a tank. I think it would fare well should I ever drop it.

Not all Western Digital drives are equal. I use the Black Label enterprise drives which have higher life to failure ratings. Also massively large drives depend on less reliable data writing and storage technologies. I stay under about 8 TB.

Edit: sorry I just saw you guys were talking about SSD.

I just had a WD Black fail out of the blue...it was maybe 5yrs old? Not used much just had some files on it, nothing important thankfully but the failure with no warning was a punch in the gut.
