Word of warning to those thinking of linking their credit cards to Amazon. Once they charged us for prime when we didn't ask for it. From that point on, we now put money on an Amazon gift card.

To late now, but if your lens has threads, purchase a polarization filter, this will remove those types of reflections when taking photographs through windows. Hum, maybe cause the bus window has been tinted or in some cases has that vinyl covering tint which you can look through, but can't see in.

So true. But hell my Dr said I need to take up a hobby of drinking wine... anyway.. My story started when I was a baby, the father placed a Minox camera in my hands and I've never been without any camera since then.

Very good question. One main thing everyone needs to be aware of is that powerful magnets can drain the life out of your battery in or outside your camera. Keep cameras/batteries away from the microwave etc. Always carry a spare and be prepared to charge your battery with the use of multiple power outlet cords. Went to triple A to renew our account, noticed the shelve with all the different types/country power adapters. Take a portable power charger. I use the Anker portable canister which is about the size of a lipstick tube. This little thing works great on the fly but when the power from that canister runs out you'll have to charge it also. One other thing to concider, there are some backpacks now that have solar panels on them. I might get one of these myself leave in the car (direct sunlight) while traveling

Good for you. I've noticed the same thing when making my Amazon purchases. Typically their system (upon ordering an item) would calculated the warehouse closest to you that has the item. The system does make mistakes, but generally it would allow for a specific time frame in the beginning, then change that time frame because the items was located locally or closer to your location.

I've ordered from Amazon over the last 3 years and have not had any issues, even when the system says 7 - 10 days delivery etc, I end up getting it fast/sooner than expected without prime. My main concern at the moment is that for the last 2 weeks, I've ordered 3 different lens filters for my camera. two of them I had to send back. One of those, I just wasn't positive if it was legit wile the other was legit, but made a mistake ordering one filter when it should have been another type.

Again, so far I've not had any issue with returning these items & it actually takes longer to return them than it does to have them delivered to you.

It's easy for anyone/everyone to tell you ebay, KEH, Adaroma, But why not try something diferant: Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/search?q=35mm%20camera) One reason to keep ones old film cameras as they will never go out of style. In fact The only reason im digital is because I didn't want to be or feel limited as to how many pictures I could take. the digital allows infant pictures while the film camera has it's limits. Ideally, if one is going to return to film camera I would suggest locating a medium format cameras.

Here's the latest.

After returning the questionable B+W filter, I then purchased the Gobe Polarization filter from Amazon. A few days alter the filter arrived in a very earth friendly package. Over the weekend we drove to eastern shore of Maryland where I set out to test the Gobe filter. But with arthritic hands, I found it to be too difficult to rotate the outer ring.

Discouraged, I contacted Gobe and just got work back from them. The Gobe spokes person said: "based on what you're wanting to do, the CPl filter would not be best suited for this. Instead the Graduation/gradual ND filter would be a better selection" So I've requested another return call tag via Amazon and back the Gobe filter will go.

Now knowing that either the Polarization filter is too difficult to master with these hands.. I realize that a square drop in would be best suited for what I'm needing. However because of limited funds, I'll have to settle for a circular graduation ND filter for the time being. Currently there's only 2 selections on the Amazon site and I'll probably end up going with the Tiffen.

Although I agree with the renting aspect, the used or "refurbished" lens or lenses can be just as good as new. Except you may see fuzz or slight flaws in the refurbished lenses. I order a refurbished from Canon 1 week ago. when it arrive the lens itself looked new. But notice a small bit of fuzz within the 3rd or 4th layer of glass. But again this is one thing you'll have to contend with when buy or even renting lenses. So far the fuzz has not effected the performance of the 100mm lens but I've not really put the lens through a full test. Look at it this way, if you're going to want to keep the lens after buying, then by all means the purchase would be justified.

I'm very surprised to learn its a Nikon camera, but further search shows that it's not you're typical Nikon camera. More over it's a crossover or bridge camera and would explain the "paper cut out" appearance of the subjects.

Sorry not practical and very high maintenance. Cant rightly drive a vette in winter in MD. Though it was good while it lasted, had the 2003 50th anniversary Z06 the "Yellow" color. Drove to most of the events, won a few trophies while part of the SCCA. The best time we had was the visit at new Hampshire motor speedway. Worked the event that year. But when the event was over, they allowed SCCA members to drive their own cars/trucks on the track for three laps. This is where the vette really took off. After my three times around, I was approached by 3 club owners who wanted em to drive for their teams, I decline due to shoulder & back issues. Three times around the track was enough.

Formating the card in the camera, writes data to the card that the camera understands. if you format elsewhere then place in the camera, you're asking for trouble and corrupted files which may never be recoverable.
