The NCM in Bowlingreen, KY is hosting the 25th anniversary caravan the wk of Aug 26. Caravans from all over the USA will begin arriving at the museum as early as Monday and Tuesday, but major events start on Thursday, the 29th. This major weekend is staged each five yr anniversary yr. Turnout is always huge, but I would not be surprised to see over 10k Vettes parked around the museum and the Vette assy plant nearby.

I will be touring with the Virginia and Carolinas group, staging out of Concord, NC Tues morning.

I will be well armed with shooting hardware and hope to be able to post a few upon return. Any other Hoggers gonna make the sojourn?

Sorry not practical and very high maintenance. Cant rightly drive a vette in winter in MD. Though it was good while it lasted, had the 2003 50th anniversary Z06 the "Yellow" color. Drove to most of the events, won a few trophies while part of the SCCA. The best time we had was the visit at new Hampshire motor speedway. Worked the event that year. But when the event was over, they allowed SCCA members to drive their own cars/trucks on the track for three laps. This is where the vette really took off. After my three times around, I was approached by 3 club owners who wanted em to drive for their teams, I decline due to shoulder & back issues. Three times around the track was enough.

Dean, I was part of the 2010 Vette Caravan in my 2008 Vette. 36,000 miles and it still going strong (376 C.I./436 H.P. and Atomic Orange Metalic) with my huge grin and the"Corvette Wave" for all participants.
The Corvette Museum is a must-see, as well as the nearby Corvette assembley plant with free scheduled tours.
Photogs are welcome at the Museum but not at the assembly plant.
Have a Corvette Day!

Smile,

The C4s had the best lines of all the โ€˜vetteโ€™s, IMO. Wish I had one ๐Ÿ˜ž๐Ÿ˜”

What did they wind up doing about the big sink hole and the vets that fell in?

Recently sold my 50th Anniversary Special Edition C5 Vette. Had fun with it for ten years, but just didn't fit in with the late model Corvette group here. If I were ever to get back into a Vette, it would have to be a '63 Split Window!

I'm with you on the C4s. I had four of that model, my first was '92 Polo Green covert with tan/tan. Also had a '96 tripple black convert, and a '96 LT4 Collector Coupe and convert. At one point I had the tripple black conver and Collector Coupe, which all were Sebring Silver. I called the pair my Oakland Raider Vettes! So I think that puts me in the stable of C4 favs. My fav however, is the '63 split window coupe, tuxedo black w/red int. Stuning in my opinion.
