I kind of like the tat. If you read it. It's thoughtful.

It's almost as if the photographer is sending some people a message...

Personally, I'd like to see more lighting on the models face. In each picture her left eye and face are in shadow.

perhaps, reflecting on the background to the picture, I guess the lack of lighting on the face was a deliberate action by the photographer in order to 'hide' the models identity.

It doesn't mater to me, it's a beautiful picture for DH to have in his archive.

This is an old topic (2016?) by someone who stole and used other people's pictures. The OP has not posted for years and is probably no longer a member. It needs to be deleted before other people comment on it

This seems to imply (I'm not an Olympus man) that you were using spot metering as opposed to average weighting and your white balance was set to manual?
Perhaps this is more a case of 'learning' your camera, as you said it's early days with it. Persevere and you'll get there!

Looks like normal lighting/results for an English autumn day to me. Perhaps you expect the 'colours to pop', in which case you'd have to tweak them in PhotoShop or equivalent...
Sad day.

Proof that the simplest images can be the best, although obviously not simple for the dancer or the photographer, both masters of their own art.

dancers make amazing models, this one shows her muscles off almost to anatomical perfection. It is a startling image.

as a physician I do worry about someone who may be self-starving to maintain such a low percentage of fat. If she is eating enough protein, she can keep her muscle mass. The ethics of the discussion is a whole different story.

Don't 'body builders' AKA Mr/Ms Universe also diet dramatically to have minimum fat and the accentuate their muscle tone?

100% agreed, lovely photo, beautifully done.

Disappointed to see comments re the models body - we do not usually make note of being thin or fat, etc. It's just a photo, perfectly timed, beautifully lit, a lovely image which, if I could have taken it, would be printed large and would have a lot of wall space.

A lot of ballerinas ARE extremely thin - a pliƩ puts the entire body weight on the tips of a couple of toes. Foot damage is a perennial problem, and frequently career ending.

It's a bit like criticizing F1 drivers because they are mostly - with a couple of exceptions - short-arses.

And if we are being critical, I doubt there are many "oil paintings" in our membership.

This dancer is actually very beautiful and has a body shape perfectly appropriate for her profession.
100% agreed, lovely photo, beautifully done. br b... (show quote)

About the best response I've seen in ages, nicely summed up. It's a gorgeous picture of a beautiful and graceful ballerina!
