Another beautiful image! I love the lighting.
Beautiful photo (& she is spectacular in her pose - almost looks like she could have held it all day!)
Thank you for posting it.
Again, another beautiful job. You can certainly tell the exercise she gets from Practicing.
Thank you so much for your kind words JimG1; alexol and insman1132they are greatly appreciated...
"...she could have held it all day!..." Actual our session lasted just over 7 hours (450 captures) and she was on set constantly... I faded before her... Ballerinas are highly trained athletes with incredible endurance... and she warmed up with Yoga for 35 minutes before stepping on set.
btw, I was asleep at the wheel when I initially posted this...
The softbox was on camera "Left" not right.
Thanks again...
Proof that the simplest images can be the best, although obviously not simple for the dancer or the photographer, both masters of their own art.
Let me add my $.02. True art here, beautiful composition, lighting, etc., etc., etc.
Lovely shot

Dear Thomas902...
The more I study the lighting you created, the more I like it. Somehow you managed to light the beautiful dancer's upper half from more of a frontal position and her lower half more on the left with the shadows on the right. Overall you captured her thin, muscular, well-toned athletic body from side lighting. I am not surprised that it took seven hours to achieve such beauty. I don't think I could have done as well in seven weeks. Very nice work. Shooter41
wow, in my opinion, that is the best of the images of her that you posted
Beautifully classic photo in every sense of the word. Lighting, eyes, color, background. excellent job! You can feel the concentration in her face, and the balance she is holding creates a tension that is palpable.
Beautiful Thomas. She is truly a fine example of a ballerina and you are a truly fine example of a photographer.
A beautiful sculpture well photographed.

Thomas, your command of the lighting is exceptional ! The model herself is beautiful, but your lighting brings out the tones of her skin...Perfection!
