A wonderful image Thomas, but is it necessary to be anorexic to be a successful professional ballerina? To my (untrained) eye, it detracts from her beauty and is frankly a bit disturbing.
Cheers,
Chris
I totally agree with Chris.
And yet another beautiful capture Thomas. Your photos are to strive for. Kudos.
I’d call it the “Sophisticated Stripper”

100% agreed, lovely photo, beautifully done.
Disappointed to see comments re the models body - we do not usually make note of being thin or fat, etc. It's just a photo, perfectly timed, beautifully lit, a lovely image which, if I could have taken it, would be printed large and would have a lot of wall space.
A lot of ballerinas ARE extremely thin - a plié puts the entire body weight on the tips of a couple of toes. Foot damage is a perennial problem, and frequently career ending.
It's a bit like criticizing F1 drivers because they are mostly - with a couple of exceptions - short-arses.
And if we are being critical, I doubt there are many "oil paintings" in our membership.
This dancer is actually very beautiful and has a body shape perfectly appropriate for her profession.
Very well shot. The energy she puts into her profession is clear. A finely tuned body.
