You guys listen to men and women who are paid to use their talents to present issues in a volatile manner, so as to inflame you to anger. This causes you to live in a perpetually emotional state, which is, of course, a poor base for decision making. Perhaps if you got your information from more calm and reasoned sources you would be happier, and you would make better decisions.

Maybe the unemotional and always stable Chris Matthews is who we should listen to?

Typical liberal response to everything.....They can not defend their policies, so they will launch personal attacks on anyone who doesn't agree with them.....It's been this waqy for a long time.

I'm not asking anyone to do anything, I'm just pointing out that there is a possibility of changing the constitution without the federal government being involved. It's up to the people in the states to initiate this action & if they don't want to do it, there is no other way of getting it to happen short of a revolution and starting all over again from scratch... And we all know that isn't very likely.

So, how could we, the people, make this happen?[/quote]

This could happen by two thirds of the state Legislatures calling for a constitutional Convention where they would be able to propose amendments to the constitution which would then have to be ratified by three fourths of the states. This would bypass the legislature and the president and give the power back to the states. It's all in Article V of the constitution.

I don't know, they all seem to have a lot of money to wait this out. How about they are not allowed to leave the congressional chambers until this is sorted out. A rent a potty, no AC or heat, MREs for food, room temp water, no lemon, for something to drink. No aids, no change of clothes and no showers. Be over in a heartbeat I would figure.

Best suggestion I have heard yet. Now how do we get it to happen?
