If thats all in camera with "slight" editing, kudos to you. That right there is a gorgeous shot. The translucency of the petals makes the flower and photo so delicate I would be scared to pick the picture up for fear of damaging it.

Recently ran across an article about this app. Was wondering if anyone has used (or uses) it. I currently use snapseed, lightroom cc mobile and adobe Photoshop app on my phone/tablet for quick edits.

What are your thoughts on VSCO?

Welcome. I had a rebel t5i and went to a d5600. Use both for different things. This site is a gold mine for information. Use it.

Btw, use a filter to cut the glare out next time.

Maybe, just maybe; when you originally formatted the ext drive for whatever device you first used it on, it could only be formatted for that only.

Take for example my sons Xbox. He has a 1tb ext storage device. Once it was formatted for his Xbox it prevented it from being used else where without it be formatting for the new device that he would want to use it on. Doing so would cause him to lose all his saved data if he wanted to use it on another device.

This could be the case here. But what do I know. Im not technically savy.

Canon. By far. Bc they have a cornucopia of lenses to chose from.

Please remember that by using a cropped sensor camera you lose (or gain) some distance though.

For example: a 35mm lense on a cropped sensor is really a 52mm lense. Or a 20 mm lense is really a 30mm.
But, a 300 mm lense is really 450mm so instead of losing, you gain free distance.
To figure it out just do some simple math.
-canon: (any mm)×1.5
-nikon: (any mm)×1.6

I suggest to purchase a used FF camera and save yourself the hassle of spending extra on a small mm lens to get the one you want. I.E. 20mm lense cost roughly $700usd. And thats to get close to a 35mm look.
Also note that sensors do not give you the pixal count that the manufacturer states. No matter the sensor size. Lenses just block too much light. Thats why everyone says that the lense matters most with a camera. The better the lense, the more light it lets in. So stay away from kit lenses. Youll see the difference yourself if you really want to. Just compare a kit with a good quality lense.

Btw, welcome to the club.

Ive seen arguements from all sides concerning camera shutter life and how the camera should be replaced when it reaches this mark. I own a canon 1200D/T5 (used) and a nikon 5600 (new). I know canon doesnt offer a means to check this (or do they?) and nikon does. Can anyone help direct me in finding out how to find the shutter count for my canon?

Heat maybe? Black bodies absorb more light and will heat up faster. Thats why canon has white body glass. Just a thought.

Try just using one mode at a time then till you get familiar with how the triangle works. Use just aperture (Av) mode and the camera handles iso and ss. Or just use ss (Tv) mode and let the camera handle iso and aperture.

Something about this pic screams p&s and I cant figure out why. The rule of 3rds is applied. Its grounded. Horizon is as flat as possible considering its on a hill. But the slight canter is appealing to me. Maybe its the lack of forground and mid ground? I dont know. Anybody have anything to add to help take it up a notch?
