makes me hungry looking at it, Well done!
We all live and learn, the important thing is that very special moment in time, is captured forever.
Wishing all a wonderful Christmas
Now that is my type of place!
I do not recall the Missouri being there, nor the sub Bowfin. Being on the Arizona Memorial was sobering, 1177 KIA, being 2 days out of combat and five day from returning to it.
Thank You, I was there in Feb 1969 on R & R from Vietnam
Here is a PIC of my '29 PU and a '29 Coupe, '31 TuDor Sedan and my '31 Ford AA flatbed
Mr Shaw, I'll do another post and show two others that I have
You are correct I cropped after I submitted it, but don't know how to change the PIC on the original post
Welcome Home,, USMC 68-69 I Corps
if you notice they just rebuilt the flume. I live 30 miles from the Mill and have taken PICS of it in all seasons for the last 40 + years. Suppose to be one of the most photographed place on the parkway.
Oh the memories.. I was a professional all breed farrier for 35 years in NY then VA, 1970-2005. It would appear that this is an in the field school. In PIC 7 with the young man kneeling down watching, he is in a great position to be "cow kicked" Wife and I raised and showed Clydesdales for years. Wife was also into hunters and jumpers with her Thoroughbred. Enjoy them while you can!
I like both B & W and color. Most of my PICS when I was young were B & W in the 50's, because that was the least expensive. I sometimes take pictures both ways, but I see in color and most my pics are that way. It is a matter of preference and I respect both views.
Looks like a '31 ford AA Short Wheel Base dump truck. Should have had dual rear wheels.. Still would make a good restoration project.
it is amazing to me that monster doesn't roll over...
