These remind me of a trip we took to a town GPS missed on their map. It's Warsaw, Ohio and it really is there, we ate at a diner there:

The Miracle of America Museum in Polson, Montana is a multi-acre, indoor and outdoor, eclectic collection of just about everything ever made in America! It boasts this faithful recreation of a soda shop from days gone by. I added a bit of selective color because red naugahyde is so 50's! Enjoy!

My Grandfather was my buddy when I was little, and he was the Postmaster. I have wonderful memories of watching downtown parades from the balcony of his office in the Federal building, when I was just a small girl. My Great Grandfather was a limestone cutter and cut some of the limestone that was used to build the Federal Building. Little did he know that 50 or 60 years later, his son would be Postmaster in the same building. Here are some of my memories.

I am a lifelong bicyclist and bicycle racing fan. Back in the mid '80s I was shooting the Coors Classic, the first big international bicycle stage race in the USA. I had just shot the finish of a race in Sacramento when Bernard Hinault pulled up right next to me. He's one of the all time greats, a five time Tour de France winner and the equivalent of a Michael Jordan in France. He was still straddling the bike with his head down in exhaustion. I kept waiting for him to raise his head so I could get a good shot of him, and when he didn't I went down on a knee and shot up at him. That eliminated the background, and I was very happy to get such a nice shot of him.
