These were done with a Hasselblad Xpan. It took twice the size of 35 negatives, 36x72 mm.

They are all superb pictures. But #1 took my breath away. Simply gorgeous!!!

The North rim and South rim are open year round, but weather can be a factor for either of them.

I agree with CPO. I lived in Flagstaff for 26 yrs. It's the better hub for many things he lists. Careful with the weather though. It can be very difficult in January. Good luck.

First, straighten the horizon a little. Place an egret wading in the water for added effect. Just a suggestion.

I agree. The image needs straightening. On the whole this is an excellent image of a scene which, in B&W, represents the true abstraction that B&W offers. Good shot. I like it.

RAW only for many years! The only disadvantage is the additional time it takes to PP, but the additional PP capability is also what makes shooting RAW worthwhile. The only benefit of JPEG is it provides a reasonably finished photo immediately, if that is needed.

Same here; only RAW.

MT, can you give me a little more information on this, I have been unable to find it. Who is the maker, etc? Thanks so much!

I bought it from SMDV (Korea) but, someone just pointed out, it is available at Amazon for about $60.00.

I highly recommend the RFN-4s kit. I have used it on my present D850 and my previous D810 for many years. It has performed very well. The advantage is that the receiver can be permanently attached to the camera. I don't recall the actual price but it was around $60. Good luck.

Just for general information, I use Affinity Photo and Luminar 4 works well as a plug-in. The only small problem I encounter is when I return to the host app from L4. The process is slow and sometimes requires some clicking to nudge it along. But the final results are very good.

I had the same issue with Luminar 4 crashing as a standalone. I managed to load it as plug-in into Affinity Photo. No problems since.

I usually don't care much for framed pictures but these are exceptional. Fantastic job! I lover all of them.

A beautiful image. But I find the small "trails" on the right side of the walkway distracting. Could those be cloned out?

Very beautiful images. Colors, composition are spot on. I like the last one in particular. It seems that the first image needs straightening. Congratulations.

I think the image has potential. The composition is very good. Delineating a beautiful tree against a beautiful sky is always very attractive. But there are 2 important issues here:
1. the horizon needs straightening
2. the whole image could benefit from substantial increase in contrast.
By the way I like cottonwoods too; I live in Cottonwood, AZ.
Good image though. I like it.

Excellent shot. I used to drink a wine made from the Scuppernong grape. I loved that wine and now I can't find it anywhere.

Beautiful shot but the spot on the upper leaf needs to be cloned out. Just doesn't fit.
