Hi All while working with this image, thinking it would be a background to something else. It struck me, had I created an image where the the background was in it self the center of interest. How odd is that?? With trepidation in my chest I ask for thoughts. Thanks so much. RBorud

Looks good to me but, I might lower the vignetting a tad...or not?

First, straighten the horizon a little. Place an egret wading in the water for added effect. Just a suggestion.

At the right side there are branches forming a rough diamond shape which to me is a point of interest.

To me the point of interest is the island in the middle. I like the pattern of the verticals and would crop out or better yet clone out the more dominant diagonal.

You have adequately created a point of interest with the lightning and framing. Nicely done. I might have a tendency to lighten just slightly, a bit of a path just in front of the tree grouping to lead the eye. Vignette looks good to me.

Now that you mention it I see it. If that is what you mean. It is very clever the way the diagonal branches seem to be eye shaped and the central area evokes a pupil shape. Can't stop seeing it now that I see it.

Astonishing detail!! Looks like large format or View camera. I think it's fantastic.

What I’m seeing is a capture of the natural patterns of nature, reduced to their essence in shades of black and white. I like it the way you’ve provided it.

I agree. The image needs straightening. On the whole this is an excellent image of a scene which, in B&W, represents the true abstraction that B&W offers. Good shot. I like it.

With respect, I like the black and white image and I like the exposure. But as for a point of interest I see none. I recognize that everyone else seems to like the photo. Maybe it just isn't for me.
