My Dad bought a K1000 when it first came out in '76 for our Mountaineering and Rock Climbing trips. He had a 50mm and a Soligar 70-200 zoom. In '96 I bought one with the 50mm at a yard sale for 5 dollars. Then I picked up a K100D at another yard sale for 50 Dollars. Now I am Shooting with a K50 shooting what I would call "Steampunk Microphotogaphy" by mounting a 300 prime lens with a 28 reverse coupled. My preferred subject is various kinds of metal slivers from a drill press and #1, thru #6 Nuts & Bolts, along with small springs. I will have to post picture samples when I get home from the hospital.

Totally overcooked. What happened to sooc?
Dan, Sorry to sound like the beginner that I am, however, you have left this exact same comment on other people's photographs here. Could you please explain? Especially, what is "sooc"?
Respectfully, Mr.Fuzzy
Having "enjoyed" a hug from a Chollo Cactus while Rock Climbing in the Lost Horse Wall area of Joshua Tree, I never thought that I would see one as beautiful. You have changed my thought! Simply an AMAZING photograph!
Do they offer a Left handed option? 😀
I suggest that you look up the McDonald's hot Coffee case. The truth will surprise you and change your perception of what everyone thought they knew!
That's cool that Santa Claus helps with the round up!
I like your perspective in "went bankrup". As for myself, I see that some have made color or lack of comments, I am 90% colorblind so I definitely see things differently than most people. Because of being colorblind I am NOT a fan of the retouching of pictures, I understand why it is done, but I find that the vast majority of retouching ends up looking plastic. So for my eyes, the colors in "went bankrup" are perfect.
I new that there was something wrong, and you have nailed it! She looks lifeless and plastic! Fix the lighting and you can reveal her in all of her GOD given beauty. Take and post the same angles with the new lighting. I think that the second picture has the most interesting potential.
I have been a Pentaxian since 1976 when my Dad bought me a K1000. I still have it and the original 28mm and 50mm lenses!
I just purchased a Vintage 300mm manual lens. All of these work just fine on my K50. I just have to set it for manual Focus.
Canonikon Pshaaa! I have been shooting Pentax since 1976 when I got my first K1000. I finally went DSLR when I got my K50 in 2016.
I have a Galaxy S9+, are you trying to tell me that this thing has a camera?
Try your local ACE Hardware store, l have worked for one and we have a pretty good selection of Metric Screws. Some stores also offer Gunsmith Screws which are very small ASE but they may be able to get metric.
