Nice Shot! - I visited Port Townsend about 15 years ago for the 'Wooden Boat Festival', and was not disappointed!
Folks from all over the world come for this, and it's an amazing collection of wooden boats, from Sailing Vessels to Yachts, Kayaks, Row-Boats, and more!
(I even photographed the 'Pirate Ship' from "Pirates of the Carribean" there, and it's MUCH smaller than it looks in the Movie)
The Town is quite pretty and quaint, with lots of Photo Opps as well!

This big elk bull was watching me with great intent, because it was rutting season and there were females around.

Beautiful Photo!
but I am reminded of a story from years ago in Jacksonville Fl., where a local Judge was out looking for potential hunting spots when he came upon a rutting Deer that attacked him on the spot! - It had him on the ground, goring him when in a stroke of luck he remembered the 'Pocket Knife' in his pants and managed to wrangle it out, open it up, and then slit the deer's throat which saved the guy's life!

STAY SAFE, while trying to get that Perfect Shot!

I believe that I got this Info from the UHH, but with any updates, (unless an 'Urgent Update') it seems best to wait for a while to allow time for 'Bugs' and problems to be worked out, and on the same note, -
Windows sends an 'Auto-Update' on the 2nd Tuesday of the month to your Win PC, and you can go into 'Settings',>
'Updates' , and set the 'Update' for another week (or Two) down the road for the same reasons.

FYI, -The Internet is on your Phone bc you (Hopefully), have it included on your 'Data Allowance' on your Carrier's Plan, so with no WiFi yet, your phone will get the Internet over the 'phone-line', - BUT - Check your Data allowance, or your Rate will rise dramatically if you go over the limit!

FYI: - Anyone considering a VaCa or trip to N. CA, may want to Re-Consider!

Forests closed for fire season

So far, more than 1.4 million acres of California’s drought-parched landscape already have burned this year, and it’s almost certain to get worse.

About half of the area burned so far has been in the Dixie fire — a more than 700,000-acre behemoth spread across that started over a month ago in the Plumas National Forest and is now the single-largest wildfire in recorded state history.

Nine national sites will be shut to public because of potential for blazes
The closures begin at midnight Sunday and extending at least through the Labor Day holiday, when conditions will be re-evaluated.

I'd prefer leaving the Stumps on the left, b/c it gives a feeling of Depth to the Image. - Otherwise, - maybe a little 'Pop' of the Green in the hills would make it stand out more.

Park rangers are advising hikers and campers in national parks to be alert for bears and take extra precautions to avoid an encounter.

They advise park visitors to wear little bells on their clothes so they make noise when hiking. The bell noise allows bears to hear them coming from a distance, so they won’t be startled by a hiker accidentally sneaking up on them, which might cause a bear to charge.

Visitors are told they should also carry a pepper spray can just in case they encounter a bear. Spraying the pepper into the air will irritate the bear’s sensitive nose and it will run away.

It is also a good idea to keep an eye out for fresh bear droppings so you have an idea if bears are in the area. People should be able to recognise the difference between black bear and grizzly bear scat.

BLACK REAR droppings are smaller and often contain berries, leaves, and possibly bits of fur.
GRIZZLY BEAR droppings tend to contain small bells and smell of pepper.
