Has anyone installed Windows 11? Are there a lot of bugs?
If not yet there will be later as it will likely get a couple of major updates. Best to give it a few months at least.
It offered to install on my gigabyte laptop yesterday. It took about an hour with one update so far. No worries so far, I had to update winaero tweaker to the latest release (the arrow on the shortcut links drives me batty). I have opened up dxo photolab 5 and luminar without any hiccups. The first boot up took a bit, after was normal. I moved the taskbar to the left to mimic win10 (just because of what I am used too).
Thanks for the reply. Keep us updated.
Installed 6/29/2021
No issues as of YET as far as I can determine
If you are running an AMD processor make sure you put both the patches from Microsoft and the one from AMD. Microsoft screwed up how L3 cache works and they has to fix that. I haven't heard of any show stoppers.
I believe that I got this Info from the UHH, but with any updates, (unless an 'Urgent Update') it seems best to wait for a while to allow time for 'Bugs' and problems to be worked out, and on the same note, -
Windows sends an 'Auto-Update' on the 2nd Tuesday of the month to your Win PC, and you can go into 'Settings',>
'Updates' , and set the 'Update' for another week (or Two) down the road for the same reasons.

I'm going to drag my feet for a while - maybe for a long while.

Nope and don't plan to till they threaten no more support for 10. And of course they're will be bugs, hundreds if not thousands of um. Hence the updates every day/ week when a new OS is released.

I think I will wait
I have had windows 11 for about 2 weeks. So far, smooth as silk with zero problems.
I updated a laptop to get access to android apps. Unfortunately the app feature is only in the version for beta testers, signed up for that, but haven't tried yet. I have been using the laptop for learning Python. No glitches with course of programming and videos so far. Setup of screens a little different, for example, if you click on a file, a short list of options pops up instead of every option, but at the bottom is a more option which shows the rest. All programs listed as apps in blue startup box, etc. It did take quite sometime to install, older Acer laptop 4-5 yrs old at least, 32 gb of ram, ssd main drive: only computer so far that read as ready without any bios changes.
