DNW...... You aren't really asking for the secret location of a photo shot are you? Try to be self sufficient and search for you own answer on Google. I am pretty sure most of the secret National Parks will be able to found
Sorry to all others for my rant, I just couldn't help it.

That is the exact set up I use, mostly shot baseball games. I am very pleased with the results. Give it a try, you really don't have anything to lose. If you like it, great. If you don't , who cares?
I use a low pro. Fits everything plus some. Nice strapping system to carry and hike. Bought it on ebay

Thanks. I look forward to trying my order
Let me try this again. Thanks. I will be curious to see if you get a reply. I prefer his setup, because it doesn't add any glass or change the focal length of the lens. Keep me posted.
It's going on three weeks. What. Others me most is I have emailed him three times and have never gotten a reply.
That is not an acceptable business practice. I wish it wasn't the case
With some research I was interested in using an old Canon FD lens with my new EOS. The mounts of course don't work together, but Ed Mika offered a replacement mount that would keep the original focal length.
I purchased a conversion kit, but has never been delivered. My multiple emails have never been acknowledged, and I now have a case opened in PayPal to,get my refund.
If I am missing something, please let me know. If not, buyer beware. I don't think he is in business anymore.
Now I will begin a new search for a suitable conversion for my Fdn mount. Any suggestions would be appreciated
Spectacular shot. And encourages me to get better with my T2i.
Kind of like golf, it's not the club, it's the swing
LOVED THE PICTURES AND THANKS FOR THE PM REPLY. Thought I would share (and hope you enjoy) some East Coast pictures. These were taken with a vintage (1960's) Canon 500mm reflex lens. All on manual, because auto anything back then was not even dreamed of. The lens imho is still a good piece of glass, and at $200 was a bargain that I have enjoyed. These are from Sebastian Inlet, Florida, north side, from the beach reaching out.
Save your money and wait until you can buy the Tamaron zoom g2 new for around $850. Or look for a used previous generation. They are very highly rated.
On your trip north out of Boston, I would suggest stopping in Newberry Port for lunch. It's an old harbor town, updated . Great food, harbor and an island preserve just outside of town
On the very north end of this trip, if you get this far, Lubek Maine. This is a fishing village almost untouched by updates. And directly across its harbor is Canada! And Teddy Roosevelts' beloved Campobello. Be sure to take the hike (tide dependent) to the light house
In between each of those points, a south bar harbor kayak excursion, whale watching off shore, lobstahh and more lobstahh, Damerscotta is a great little town (big time touristy) or any of the small coastal towns in the area. Castle ton, Round Pond .....
Light houses of all types
Great trip. Enjoy
I'm not going to tell you to post any pictures. But I'm curious if the focal problem occurs with all your lens ? Or just a particular one. If you only have one lens, borrow one (Use it at a camera store) to determine if it is a lens issue or body issue. If it is a body issue, the basic canon repair will be around $175. Is worth repairing or just replace it. Not sure about the cost for lens repair.
I have a vintage manual focus lens that I use, and get mixed results from. I'm still experimenting with it. You could consider a vintage fd ringed lens and convert it to the eos.But after you look at the enticing Ebay price, you will still need to convert it to an eos mount
But in the end I am going to guess it is easier to replace and buy the latest. If you are interested in an older eos rebel, I also have one available that would keep you in the photo mode for not much money. PM me on that. My over whelming recommendation is that you have a perfect excuse to upgrade your equipment (at the same time recognizing we all have budgets, but if you hang out on this forum you might not believe it).
Good luck with your decision
