With some research I was interested in using an old Canon FD lens with my new EOS. The mounts of course don't work together, but Ed Mika offered a replacement mount that would keep the original focal length.
I purchased a conversion kit, but has never been delivered. My multiple emails have never been acknowledged, and I now have a case opened in PayPal to,get my refund.
If I am missing something, please let me know. If not, buyer beware. I don't think he is in business anymore.
Now I will begin a new search for a suitable conversion for my Fdn mount. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Those converters are all over the place. B&H, Adorama, Ebay and numerous others.
How long ago did you order it? I have ordered many adapters from him. He is a slow shipper. My last order took about 6 weeks to arrive. Im sure he is still in business.
It's going on three weeks. What. Others me most is I have emailed him three times and have never gotten a reply.
That is not an acceptable business practice. I wish it wasn't the case

I have used several of his conversions with very good results. I know that he had a period of illness about two years ago. Since then he seems to have re-established his business, but I haven't bought anything in that time. I have sent an e-mail to see if he responds.
I'll let you know if I get a response. Good luck.
Let me try this again. Thanks. I will be curious to see if you get a reply. I prefer his setup, because it doesn't add any glass or change the focal length of the lens. Keep me posted.

I too have one of his adaptors and they work quite well.
Don't know of his current status. When I bought mine he was very available and shipped quickly if he had stock.
I believe there a few Chinese knock-offs now at half the cost, maybe THAT is what was meant by "all over the place", or the cheap glassed ones! Don't know about the quality of the knock-offs though but that might very well be affecting his business. Good luck

I'll definitely let you know if I get a response. In my opinion there is no perfect way to adapt Canon FL/FD/FDn lenses to Canon (or other DSLRs). Ed's are the best that I have found, and work best on APS-C DSLRs. There can be mirror contact issues on FF bodies. Perhaps the best way to use old Canon glass is to get a mirrorless body that has a flange registration distance that can easily accommodate an adapter without modifying the lens in any way.

To all that are interested, I heard back from Ed Mika. He has been dealing with a terminal illness in his family, and though he thought he could keep up with orders he got overwhelmed and fell behind. He is now getting back to catching up with the oldest orders first. With hindsight he realizes that he should have put something on his web site, but I expect that you will hear from him before long.
Unfortunately life sometimes gets in the way of the best plans.

Thanks. I look forward to trying my order
