You could sell this last one for reproduction prints and make a lot of money, It's beautiful. I would love to have this one hanging in my house. Most photographers are satisfied to capture a single object-like a bird-but this shot has real depth: foreground; background; and midground, all with astounding colors.

If these are valuable shots that you want to keep, I would like to take a stab at the fog problem in Photoshop. If you want to email one to me I'll try, and then let you know what I did.

With most expensive cameras, you're paying for features you might rarely use. Get and learn Photoshop and save your money on expensive cameras. From there, it's about your ability to detect a great visual and how, and where, and when to shoot it. Remember that a great lens with a cheap camera is better than a cheap lense with s great camera. And, never make the equipment do the work for you, like they say: first get out of the car.

Very unique and powerful black on black rendition. You probably already cropped from the original, but would like to show less cropping because it's what makes it so powerful as it accentuates the courage and success of a black subject on a black background. Also would like to see a little more light accentuating the contours of Husker.

FROZEN IN TIME
By Bob Story

I came upon this place nearly lost in time,
Beckoning like the mystery of an unsolved crime,

Where life became fragile and succumbed to its fate,
Forgotten by progress and avoided by the Interstate,

This old map shows it was once there,
But alas, now it’s just miles from nowhere,

Broken down buildings with signs painted on,
The colors now faded, the words nearly gone,

An old John Deere hidden by weeds and dust,
A victim of time and just left there to rust,

Once proud gas pumps still waiting in line,
Ethyl by the gallon, at a point forty-nine,

A windmill without any blades, its turn had ceased,
A skeleton in the wind, but still standing at least,

Yet...life lingers there still, you can see it if you look,
Golden summer sunlight dancing for the pictures I took,

A place just waiting upon this forgotten ground,
For the eye of the camera to finally come around,

Captured through the lens and now frozen in time,
Images for posterity in this new digital paradigm,

Now, history will surely be written of this new age,
When our lives in binary numbers became the rage,

Still...I have this notion that pictures will always last,
Because life has more meaning when seeing our past.

I'm not a fan of black and white photography, but feel both shots are relying too heavily on developing technique rather than on the beauty of the scene. I would have to choose the first shot just because it shows more but yearn to see it's color.

Are you more interested in the flower or the zucchini? Fall harvest suggests food not flowers, but the picture is of yet, I assume, unharvested food. Maybe a bunch of already harvested (picked) zucchini together with some of the flowers amongst them. This would be more suggestive of a harvest to comply with the theme. Also, more of a wide angle and not so close in and showing more zucchini, maybe in a basket. It's always good to try and be different and unusual, millions of pictures have been taken of flowers. The essence of a great picture is surprise, and "wow, how did you get that shot?" Hope this helps.

You really need to run your shots through HDR Converter (High Dynamic Range).

The best shots, and paintings, that I've seen of the falls are from the top of the falls with the water starting to fall over the side, and with the horizon near the top of the picture to accentuate its size and with and small aperture for best depth of field. Also a fast shutter speed to freeze the motion of the water and later in the day to get the "Golden Hour" colors.
