I do not understand why you would be having a problem with software designed to work with an earlier version of PS than the one you are using. I have never seen a plug-in or App that is not backward compatible.

It depends who’s doing the “ inviting”. If you’ve been arrested, maybe the cop provides coffee along with the handcuffs. Otherwise, the treat is on you.

There are a significant number of talented Photoshop masters, who offer courses featuring their collections of tools and educational resources. Clearly, they have hired the same marketing firm to advertise their offers, because the language is often identical and it is impossible to not notice the approach of selling material at 95% off the list price. After a sale is posted to last for three days. It is inevitably extended further and then brought back by popular demand.
I realize I can skip over the emails I receive, and completely ignore them; but I find the entire approach sleazy and demeaning to the profession that these digital artists represent; and insulting to the intelligence of the audience to which they are trying to appeal. Some what paradoxically, much of the material they offer is worthwhile.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to respond. Mr. Google agrees with your diagnosis.

I think Mr. Google identified this for me, but I’ll leave it for you entomologists to chime in.

Surprise encounter while walking the dog. Nature is always interesting if not always beautiful.

Thanks for the info. I recently decided to take the plunge in Photoshop and attended an intensive hands on class. The instructor had each of us 5 students download the trials for NIK and the free TK6 just for the class. It’s amazing what TK6 does to help automate layers and masking. I would imagine TK9 is even better.

It is. The only challenge for me is not habitually using the keyboard shortcuts I learned before TK. But then the panel is still indispensable for creating a variety of masks. Of course you have to believe in, enjoy, and like the results of post-processing.

Got mine. Tony Kuyper keeps finding ways to make each subsequent version better than the last. And the price has always been kept reasonable.

I purchased a loaded mini with a new 27” monitor specifically because I love creating Photoshop composites. It is fabulous. I do not take much video, nor do I play games on the computer, so I was able to take advantage of the Apple recommendation regarding the number of cores. There were a couple of plugins that had to be set to work with the Apple Silicon chip; and that is not obvious until you try to boot them up. The fix is very simple and does nothing that I can see to impair their function. Transfer of data and set up was a breeze. The latest operating system has many advantages.
You will pay for speed and memory, but there are no substitutes.

I use the menu to indicate photo shop as my external editor. I am then given the choice of how I want the photo sent over: whether including the edits made in Lightroom or not.

Same reason you respond to Ruthlessrider. You are blind. Tell me what I said in my post(s) that is not true. Point out my errors in your opinion.

No, No, don't deflect with bulls**t as most Liberals do. Just simply point out where you feel I am wrong. Then we will talk.

Dennis

Rather than attacking you I will attempt to be courteous and respectful. We have nothing to talk about. You sight your contentions as reality, supported by sources I believe to be, at best, unreliable. Your empathy for others appears to be limited to those who fit your definition of “worthy”.
We see two very different versions of the U.S.A. For the first time in my life, and I am 78 years old, I am not sure that those two versions can coexist. There is no time or room for debate if there is no essential agreement on the facts.

Ruthlessrider: Why continue wasting your time responding to Dennis? “There's none so blind as they that won't see.”

My compliments Texcaster. You nail it with your three posts. I will only add that the people to whom you refer believe in a past that never was and a future that will never meet their expectations.

Sorry, but as with most aphorisms there is a bit of t***h clouded by oversimplification and lack of nuance. The older I get, and I am old, the more I believe in gray rather than black or white.

Have you considered the thousands of items a local store could never stock, or that your local store would involve considerable travel?
